Great view over whole Lisbon and the bridge! 4 Euros entry to get up with the elevator, which is a very reasonable price.

Visiting the sanctuary was a nice half-day trip with our little boy. it included a ferry ride, a bus ride, a lot of sightseeing (small marina on the other side of riber Tejo was very enjoyable). The sanctuary is very nice and peacefull, sometimes a little windy. The views are spectacular...from the ground ans especially from the top of the... More

we took the ferry from Cais Sodre, grabbed an espresso at the red hut on the other side, followed the water until the restaurants, then took the stairs up to the city (or you can take the elevator). That part was about 20 minutes. From there, there were signs to Cristo Rei. We passed a Mini preco and got wine... More

What more can anyone say about this fantastic monument, located high looking over Lisbon you can see it for miles. At the entrance their is a small chapel for you to visit, Their is a cost to go up to the top but I am not sure of the cost as our Portuguese relatives wouldn't let us pay the entrance... More

If you haven't been to Rio, be sure to stop by this 330 feet tall smaller version of the Majestic Christ statue. The park-like area surrounding this awe-inspiring statue affords great views of the 25th of April Bridge and Lisbon. There is a small chapel inside that you can visit free of charge.

Make sure to have the exact change when catching the 101 Bus from Cacilhas to Cristo Rei. It only cost €4 for a return for two of us. My wife and l had a €20 and l can understand if the driver didn't have any change but adding to my disappointment was his rudeness. One of the friendly local Portuguese... More

The statue was built later than its Rio counterpart. It does not have a central role in Lisbon's skyline though. Have not visited the top viewpoint.

Worth one visit if you havenot seen Rio Original. Gifted by Brazil to Portugal a replica of Rio. Expensive to go up but worth one visit especially for the lovely Lisbon view from atop. To go up by lift and then climb bit hard narrow 90 steps. Lovely view of Full lisbon including Vasco Bridge.

We stopped here to have a look at Lissabon from the other side of the river and got the fantastic view at the bridge and over the river. The statue was impressing and a copy of the Brazilian one. We enjoyed the time there, making pictures and just looking around!

Well worth a visit. For us, the spiritual aspect was important, but the site also offers the most spectacular views of the city and surrounding sea and river.
