This is quite a small, narrow and not particularly attractive beach. In fact, this comment applies to most of this coastline, which is predominantly rocky coves. These are appealing in their own way, but are not great for a beach-style holiday

We visited the Tamariz beach often during our stay in Estoril. The beach itself is nice an wide with an amazing view. There is plenty of restaurants, etc. for a bit to eat and it is lovely to spend some time just relaxing and enjoying the sun and waves here.

At the beginning of October, on a sunny day, we left Lisbon and took the train to Estoril. In half an hour we arrived at Tamariz Beach. Spent a couple of hours by the beach, quiet and relaxed. Then continued walking to Cascais, from where we took the train back to Lisbon. A lovely excursion.

We were in Estoril in early September for 9 days. Beach was not crowded at this time. Temperature about 25 degrees and sunny almost every day. Nice for suntanning but cold for swimming. However there were some brave souls taking a dip and enjoying the waves. Beach chairs and beach palapas are not free. Beautiful boardwalk along the beach where... More

Lovely clean and safe beach with great facilities. We hired two beach loungers and an umbrella for €14 for the day. We ended up staying on the beach for 8 hours. The toilets are really clean with changing and shower facilities. There are also several places to get food and drink etc.

Lovely clean beach, beautiful imported sand. Beach beds expensive though (15 euros for 2, ouch). Wonderful Atlantic surf rollers right up to the beach, good restaurants, loos, showers. All together a lovely beach front, great for jogging also.

Clean, safe beach with life guards and reasonably priced sun loungers and parasols. Good selection of restaurants and a natural lido
