This is a great course ...however ... There were 11 in our group and the buggy hire was extortionate and non negotiable compared to other courses ... Spoilt the experience.

Superb clubhouse, high quality golf course and stunning scenery. You'll need your 'A' game if the wind's blowing! Not the cheapest course but that's because it's one if the best in Europe. If you get the chance, play it and enjoy a drink on the terrace of the stylish clubhouse afterwards

Oitavos Dunes is one of Europe's top courses. Very very scenic, longer and harder than you would think, super maintained and with great and different holes.

Stayed and played five times in March 2014. We had everything from a 3-4 club wind from the north (still pleasant temperatures, this is not Scotland in March...) to almost calm conditions. Although we all like the course, three holes divided opinions among us: 1) The short par 4 11th, reachable with a hybrid with the wind behind, but also... More

nice to walk along the coastline til Guincho - the sea, cliffs, beaches, lighthouses... on one side - and at the other the dunes and hills of the national parque - very tranquilizing. Take something for picknick! - there are a couple of facilities to sit and rest. also suitable for elderly and disabled people and cyclists. the walk til... More

We were a group of 9 ladies and had a wonderful golfing day. The buggies were so expensive €70 per buggy. Otherwise we had a great day. The course was great in good condition and the pace of play was great. Would definitely go back.

It is a pitty this course makes use of a reward in 2011 that they cannot live up to. It is so far from top 100 as you can get. Get the pricing in line with what you offer and you might do better. Only 2 types of balls in Proshop - no ladies golfballs. Greens not in good condition.... More

This was the 3rd course we played over a long weekend and by far the most expensive. Apart from the course fees, we were expected to pay Eur70 for each buggy, which beats even the most expensive of the courses around Geneva, where we all live. The pro shop had no golf balls left for sale. Unacceptable in my opinion.... More
