We enjoyed this museum and entry was free. Showed a lot about local people and how they made a living over the years. Lots of historical sea stories and a whole room about fish, sharks and whales.

Interesting museum telling the story of fishing in Portugal. Great place to visit in the middle of the day when you need a break from the heat.

We made our way to the hotel after visiting the nearby park. Like the other museums in Cascais they don't charge an entrance fee. This museum is worth the stop and we would have gladly paid a fee for the excellent presentations. Pretty large museum, yet we saw only one other couple there. The museum is based on the Cascais... Excellent sea food! Beautiful views. This place gets extremely busy so remember to book :-). Visit here when you go to boca de inferno or whilst riding the coastal path

A very nice marine museum; not to large and wearisome. Children and adults will enjoy some of Portugal's maritime history and sea life.

No cost to view. My favourite bit is the life size mammals. It really give you a feel for what it may be like next to one. There is a lot of interesting information here, however you have to read most of it. The interaction bits were a bit disappointing. It is free though. Some great fossils too. History and... More

This museum is really good, it is packed with information in both Portugese and English. and has lots to do for children. It tells the life of the locals in Cascais as well as lots of scientific stuff. Very informative and educational. Plus its FREE! must visit. The service was excellent. Suitable for all.

This is one of the oldest museum in Cascais that unfortunately never received too much attention from local visitors. The place inside is really poor. It's free and you do have some great things. It's worth a visit if you have time.
