This is indeed a beautiful marina situated right next to the Praia de Santa Marta (Santa Marta beach). I learned to swim on this beach as a kid in the early 50s. Back then there were no tourists coming to this little corner of our world even though the beauty of the place is undeniable. As is often the case,... More

Almost 1 hour train ride from Lisbon but absolutely worth it. Very clean and upper scale beach city.

Walking on the marina is one of the best things to do in Cascais. You can contemplate the beauty of it while feeling the sea breeze. Just romantic.

The place was packed in July when we visited. We walked from the town centre to the Pousada Hotel. Around an hours walk. There restaurants were very busy. The beach was full of people.ostly on the beach and not in the sea as the water temperature in the Atlantic is pretty cool. Not far from Lisbon and with regular trains... More

Very expensive marina. pretty town but manicured beauty not natural. Too twee! All yachtsmen including the French were complaining about the prices of the marina. Nice enough for a stop over but not a long stay as they even admitted to being expensive but would not reduce their prices, bit of a fishbowl marina.

This is a nice place to spend a day, walking, shopping and relax. You will find here several restaurants and small quiosques with nice and fresh food. You can also walk and swim on the beach if the weather is fine. I loved the small craft shops with sea shells.

Lovely peaceful place to stroll around on a fine evening and watch the boats come and go. Lots of well priced little restaurants to try. Not sure what it would be like in the high season, but in June it was a little haven away from the bustle of the town

This is more of an attraction that you visit because you're passing through rather than going out of your way to visit. I suggest that if you're coming from the train station and walking through Old Town Cascais on your way to Boca do Inferno (west of the town center), the marina is definitely a must see. It's calm and... More

This is a large well organized area at the foot of the Cascais Citadel. There are two complexes that are two levels tall. Many nice and very pristine eateries are scattered throughout the complex. There is underground parking and it is a very secure area. Four of us spent a good deal of time here. This is where the fishing... More
