Just about 30-45 minutes north of the Lisbon, is this very relaxing resort town of Cascais - nice restaurants, shops, beach, park, and there is a Parador hotel! Drive north if you want to get away from the city.

The marina itself was clean and tidy and had one or two nice eating establishments. It wasn't however a large marina, but just sufficient for the size of Cascais.

The Marina has a few nice little shops and some nice restaurants to choose from. It's a pleasant way to spend an afternoon in Cascais.

Cascais, a former quaint fishing village, it's now a popular resort town. The history of old Cascais can be seen at the Museum of the Sea. The main square of town is paved with blocks recreating the wave patterns. From the marina, a 20min walk takes you to Boca do Inferno, where high waves crash into huge caves carved out... More

If you fancy a day out of the city centre when visiting Lisbon, this seaside town is fantastic. We caught the train from Cais de Sodre station for about 9 euros return for the two of us. It takes about 40 minutes to get there, whereas if you go on the tourist bus it takes 2 hours! We had a... More

Nice marina well kept and very pleasant to wander around. We were there early morning of 1 January 2015 so there were not many people about nice time to take in the area.
