Very good beach, clean, a little bit windy, very good for wind sports, have a great view over Sintra woods and mountain. You will love it for sure!

This beach is amazing for kitesurfing and windsurfing. It is therefore not the most ideal place if your objective is simply to sunbathe, unless you dig yourself a hole in the sand to sit in. It is 12kms from Cascais, which I did by bike, and the coast and landscape is beautiful. There are a couple places there to grab... More

One of my favorite beaches! Amazing view/scape, one of the best for surfing. The water is a bit cold and sea strong, but I love it! In a day without wind, and this beach is Perfect!

A huge beach with lots of room. The sea is cold but you can hire wetsuits. It was great to watch the surfers, kite surfer and windsurfers. Quite a show.

I love this beach. One of my favorites in the world. It is more ruggedly beautiful than many Portuguese beaches, but amazing. It can, however, often be windy so if you are going to sunbath a wind break may be a good idea.

If you're looking for a beautiful beach that's clean and has the option to both surf and swim, then this is the place for you. I didn't go swimming only because the water was too cold for me, but my friends did. There are lifeguards there and they're vigilant - blew the whistle when people swam too far out (you... More

Not the best spot for small children to swim. However it is wild and beautiful. The water is cold though even in summer.

It is very windy, and swimming may be dangerous. The waves were great and many sufers were practising... however we are not surfers, and wanted a more classical and family beach experience.

This beach is fab. I would recommend a packed lunch if you are going everyday as the salads at the beach cafe/bar start at about €12. Although the cute little kiosk with bean bags and great views does good cheap sandwiches. Also bring a wind break.

We didn't have the strong winds that others have written about. A perfect beach day....blue sky, light winds and fun watching people learn to surf! If you park in the sheltered parking lot adjacent to the beach (4 euros a day during the week) they even include a coupon for a free water or Sagres beer at the Giuncho Bar.... More
