We didn't have the strong winds that others have written about. A perfect beach day....blue sky, light winds and fun watching people learn to surf! If you park in the sheltered parking lot adjacent to the beach (4 euros a day during the week) they even include a coupon for a free water or Sagres beer at the Giuncho Bar.... More

The beach and the coastal road are still fairly wild and the views are stunning, especially at sunset. The boardwalks that take you down to the beach have built well and are in good condition. We walked this area in the early evening and it was almost deserted apart from some locals on the running tracks so a great time... More

Gorgeous beach - lovely, soft, golden sand - very clean (water and beach). 4-5 bars and restaurants along the roadside (about a 10 minute walk, depending on what part of the beach you're at). Day we went was bright blue sky - but a stiff breeze. Wind and para surfers were having a great time. Surf was too strong to... More

We knew it was a windy beach. We just didn't listen to a bus driver that told us the wind will be very strong the day we went there. How bad can it be, we said. :) Big mistake. The winds were strong enough to slightly bend the public lighting poles. We found a smaller golf, where the winds were... More

Loved the beach, nature trail and beach bars. Easy to cycle to and from. The sea is not suitable for children due to very strong currents. Great for watching kite surfing etc.

Guincho Beach is located in Cascais, Portugal. It is a very windy beach and offers good conditions for surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing. The beach became well known after being filmed here one of the James Bond movies. It has a beautiful view and various sporting events happen here.

Although is a beautiful beach with lots of space, I found it to be very windy. Windy enough for the sand to blow and hurt your legs. I have been there many times, never did I not find a day without wind. BEWARE OF THIEVES. While taking pics, my car's window got broken and they took my beach bag +... More
