The gardens where supposedly the prince and his mistress trysted can be visited for a fee. We had admission included in the price of our hotel room in the old mansion on the same grounds. I would not pay to tour the gardens unless I was a botanist. More

As visitors, you will probably get to see the fountains marking the spots where Ines and Pedro fell in love and where later she was killed. More

This hotel is an old palace and it shows in every detail. The rooms are roomy and very clean. The staff is exceptional! They make sure that your every need is met. Breakfast was amazing! Everything about this hotel blew my mind. Don't forget to walk the halls and learn all about the love story of Pedro and Ines! More

i never visited the hotel, only the garden and the golf court. i went to the garden a few times, it's lovely to go with boyfriend/girlfriend because of it's mistic and romantic story (Pedro e Ines). and the price is very little: 2€ (at least the last time i went there, summer 2009). at the golf court i only went once,... Location: The hotel is located outside of town. A taxi is about 6e to downtown Hotel: Very nice old building with nice grounds. Room: We were initially given rooms off the lobby, but we requested a quieter area of the hotel. The rooms we were given were nice but when we came back from dinner around 10:00 pm in town,... More

A really luxurious hotel, located a short walk from the centre of Coimbra. I stayed in the modern "garden" rooms which were very nice and comfortable. Hotel has very attractive lounge areas in which to sit and read. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Breakfast was quite limited - a good selection of fresh fruit but little in the way of... More

It could be a great hotel, with the history, the gardens and the main building but it’s just a poor one. It’s badly managed and the facilities lack class, quality materials and maintenance. The restaurant has one Michelin star, but it’s not one of the best with this classification, and the breakfast is really limited. At least, the price that... More

This hotel is right in the center of Coimbra yet it has a private park (garden plus woods) that makes it surprisingly quiet for its urban setting, even if Coimbra is a fairly peaceful city. It is within walking distance to the historic center of Coimbra and to a couple of stunning medieval monasteries. It’s a charming and comfortable historic... More
