You absolutely have to see this place! Two volcanic lakes separated by a causeway - one of the green and the other of the blue water! A spectacular impression in the sun!

Ok, it was sunny, it was clear and still there wasn't anything amazing to see. So, go there at the beginning of your holiday so it might seem amazing. But if you have only few days to spent in San Miguel, this should be the first place not to visit. The trail otherhand, easy to walk 'cause its a road... More

The most beautiful place on the island. Be sure to stop at Vista do Rei and take in the view of both the green and blue lake. This is a must see during your stay in Sao Miguel Acores..

It's one of the 7 natural wonders of Portugal. It's an unique landscape where you will be blown away by a magnificent view over a lagoon with two different colors. It´s a must go of São Miguel and Azores. I advise to explore several points of view of this lagoon. Although the main spot is Vista do Rei, there are... More

We got dropped off at the lookout point and walked down to mosteira, the path down was adorned with hydrangeas and the views were magnificent, one of the most beautiful walks I have done in a long time. If you are into geocaching there is a great trail to follow on this walk, well recommended and one of the highlights... More

Whether it is sunny or full of mist and fog, this place is so amazing. This is a must on your to do list. And take a nice swim in the Blue Lake.

Sete Cidades is absolutely gorgeous. We were lucky that we got there and it was sunny. During our 5 days in Sao Miguel, we had 2 days of rain and 2 cloudy days so we were happy to have a beautiful view when we visited Sete Cidades. We drove to the sight and planned to hike around the rim. Luckily... More

Beautiful place and a must-see in the azores, allthugh I must say it is a bit overrated. The lakes are best viewed from above when the green and blue colors really shines, it is spectacular when the light is just right (allthough this is azores and the weather is not always very cooperative).

An amazing view from the upper places, and you can see the different colors on the water ( blue and green ). Try to go there on a sunny day, or go there again if you happen to go on a cloudy day. It's worth it. Down there, also enjoy the view to the top.

Great walking and nature at its best. Quite steep in parts but views to die for. Go when there is less cloud for best views.
