We spent two days with this company, combining whale-watching in the morning with trips out on the island in the afternoon. All the staff are very knowledgeable, from the marine biologists to the guides. Seeing whales and dolphins in their natural environment is unbeatable, and the staff do their utmost to ensure sightings although nothing is guaranteed. We were fortunate... More

We did 3 excursions with them. 1/ swimming with the dolphins - My husband went into the water and me and the kids were there as an assist. It was not cheap for just being in the boat but the experience was nice and we saw a lot of dolphins. In the water, it was not easy to see them,... More

The tour was led by two Marine Biologists, in both English and Portuguese. The Catamaran was a nice size so if you are squimish about boats the size is perfect. It was a nice sunny day but as we got further into the Atlantic it became cloudy and cold so the weather wasn't our friend. They had advanced spotters that... More

A well organised operation that is clearly targeted at the mass tourist market. Nevertheless all staff were friendly, informed and made an effort. There was a good briefing beforehand which was multilingual. We went twice and saw dolphins first trip but no whales and fin whales second trip. On the downside, the groups are very large on the catamarans so... More

Went to azores to spend my birthday with my boyfriend and we chose futurismo, better decision I've made so far. I know that we were very lucky with the animals we saw and the fact that the sea was calm. We started to see some common dolphins, then some sei whales. After a while and some time waiting we saw... We were on two tours with futurismo's catamaran cetus to watch whales and dolphins. On both trips we were able to see the animals in their natural environment. One time there were sei whales and later on those cute and curious common dolphins playing around the boats and welcoming us by showing off their best jumps. The other day we... More

Does not matter, if you are going on whale watching, or jeep tour, people of Futurismo will always provide you the best service they can. If you will not see any whale (or just a few "blows" and lot of dolphins) personell on the boat will do everything possible, to make you satisfied and feeling adventurous. (wave bumps, "visiting" large... More

This company cancelled 4 different trips with us blaming the weather. On some of the days they cancelled other operators went out with no problem. Every time they cancelled they provided no information until we arrived at the harbour. The first cancellation was on a day with perfect conditions excellent visibility and calm seas. The last cancellation was only confirmed... More

Dear SIr, We received your feedback regarding our services.   I immediately talked with our staff to figure what exactly happened on your specific case. Our whale watching tours depend on the weather and sea conditions and we only go out to the sea after assessing the conditions that have to be favorable and most of all safe. There’s no... More
