Being accustomed to dolphins in different seas including our "domestic" Adriatic Sea we desperately wanted to see a real whale in its habitat. 3 hours of hope and we got dolphins, more dolphins and dolphins again! Nevertheless it was marvelous afternoon with most attentive staff, very knowledgeable and eager to help and widen our apprehension and views. Theirs "eco" orientation... More

From the briefing to the end the Futurismo team leave you in no doubt that they are extremely knowledgeable, dedicated experts who are providing you with a lot more than a basic whale watching tourist excursion. We enjoyed a fantastic half day and saw Fin Whales, Hump Back, Rissos and Bottlenose dolphins.Highly Recommended.

I went out for a whale and dolphin watching and had an amazing time with Futurismo. The biologists were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, our captain was a fun guy, with so many stories to tell. It was not whale season, but we spotted 2 different species of dolphins. What a great experience! Costumer service is far superior than the other... More

We were in for a day on a cruise and made a provisional booking from UK. We were expected and quickly kitted out and briefed. Just seven on the rib accompanied by two young marine biologists we encountered our first common dolphins within minutes. This was followed by striped, bottle nose and more common dolphins plus leather back turtles and... More

Arrived on the Arcadia (P&O Ship), and once ashore the trip left from virtually the same peir. We boarded the boat at around 10:15am, and headed back out to sea to find some whales. The Guide seemed very knowledgeable, and gave a interesting introduction to what we may expect to see during out 'Whale Watch'. As sure as eggs are... More

We'd heartily recommend Futurismo whale watching trip - from the response to my fist email to the company, which was answered quickly and in a very friendly manner, to the trip itself on the catamaran, I couldn't fault them. There's a great team - all very friendly, and including knowledgeable marine biologists, and a very skilful captain who was passionate... More

Great trip. Apparently someone forgot to tell the 12 sperm whales that we saw, it was off season. After heading out on a dreary looking day, the sun came out and not long after so did a large school of dolphins, racing beside, under and all around our boat. Then came the first whale sighting. It was interesting to see... More

The first day we had a whale watching tour booked, all trips were cancelled due to spotters not finding anything. This should have been a sign, and we should have researched better... Later in the week we did go out with them on a full boat, only to see common dolphins. Fortunately the weather was excellent and we got some... More

Dear Fred, We are very sorry to hear that your trip with us did not meet your expectations. The weather conditions this year aren't the best, we have had really strong wind and fog which makes it difficult for our lookouts to see further away from the coastline. The Sperm Whales wich is one of our resident species is here... More

The staff was very helpful and kind through the entire journey. The team consisted of 2 marine biologists that took every opportunity possible to educate everyone on the various species and customs of the Azores. We were lucky enough to see 4 sperm whales, a group of 7 bottle nosed Dolphins, a riso dolphin and a few common Dolphins. The... More
