It' beatiful warm, soothing water, in on sunny days it's good for you! The showers are super cold but you feel super great afterwards

If you cant see the tops of the mountains don't bother to go up to Fogo, if you see the tops, head up quick because the fog comes down with little warning. but well worth the journey up, views splendid

We walked up to the lake from the coast, via a good wide farm track and along an old water channel. Then partially around the lake before climbing out of the crater via a very steep path up to a viewpoint that is accessible by car. Stunning scenery and a very good walk.

We only had time to view the lake from above, but next time we'll brace ourselves for the long climb down (and back up!) to explore this lovely lake which seems to have a nice sandy beach and where we could clearly see people swimming.

The walk downhill is 15-30min, back up is..., well let's just say it's longer. But very much worth the hike. Go for a swim in the beautiful lake, dry of in the sun, and bring water to make the climb back up doable.

Beautiful, breathtaking, unpredictable. It was foggy when we got there and a few moments later it all cleared away and the view was amazing, well worth the wait.

This place is unpredictable - one day the weather is hot and clear, another - very foggy, anyway - its the place worth to visit. There are trails near the lake, you can go down to the beaches, also can swim, but we did not like. It is a peace of clear nature. Never touched by a man. Splendorable view... More

This was a pretty awesome view, but I liked Sete Cidades better. But even so, this is still a pretty breathtaking place. I'd still go back, maybe do a hike or something. Use the azores cam app to see if there's fog or not before you go.
