This is great excursion to do with the children. We were able to see many dolphins including many baby dolphins learning to jump with their mothers. The kids loved watching this. We did not see any whales. The boats are safe and all are required to wear life vests. The women spoke several languages and was very helpful during the... More

Terra Azul offers basically 2 types of activities: whale watching and dolphin swimming. I have tried the dolphin swimming which costed me 80E. The experience is overall disappointing: You ride for 10mn off-shore, until the skipper sees seagulls which suggest that there are Dolphins in the water. Then participants are invited to jump in the water by group of 2.... More

We loved our trip with Terra Azul. We saw several Sperm Whales. The moment they dive and stick out their tail is absolutely beautiful. And of course the spray they make with their blow hole. We also saw a leatherback turtle, common dolphins and absolutely beautiful spotted dolphins that traveled with the boat and enjoyed bow riding. The staff is... More

We were lucky enough to go on 3 separate dolphin swims during our time on the Azores. All three with the wonderful team of Terra Azul. When you go on a dolphin swim, you enter the world of the dolphins and thankfully the respectful way the Terra Azul Crew work, makes it possible to visit the dolphins in their habitat,... More

We went on two trips with Terra Azul. First we went whale watching and saw loads of different types of whales. Second we went dolphin swimming. The dolphin swimming was very well organised and considerate of the dolphins' natural behaviour. Only two people are allowed in the water at the same time. Not all attempts to see the dolphins in... When booking such tours I always have a concern that somebody is taking me for a ride and painting them too pink to be true. This wasn't the situation today, the boat is in good shape the skipper vet friendly and professional and the guide very knowledgeable. We spent almost 3 hours at sea and we managed to see blue... This year we went out with the RIB boats from Terra Azul, for about the 9th time in 7 visits since 2009. We went swimming with dolphins this time, and, as usual, part of the fun is seeing whether they'll turn up or not...and when they do, whether or not they'll hang around for long. I love the notion that... More

A splendid afternoon - with 7 others on a high speed rib in calm waters blue skies - with an experienced guide and expert skipper, saw loads of dolphins and thanks to the organisation - the look outs and the team working we found the dolphins and were able to run with them and swim with them as they moved...
