We thoroughly enjoyed our trip out with Stephanie. Unfortunately we didn't see any whales but we did see lots of dolphins and we learned a lot about their lives. It was a gorgeous blue sunny day out so being out on the ocean was fun on its own. Make sure to stop for a nice cold beer on your way... More

We went a couple of times with Terra Azul out to sea in Easter and had ALWAYS the chance to see Dolphins and Wales. This wonderful experience was unforgettalbe. The knew that that we may see is somehow unpredictable, since the animals are fortunately wild and not always "wishing" to be around, so we tried to hold our expectations not... More

We had originally booked a whale watching tour on the Monday (20th October) but we were unlucky to have five days of high winds. Happily we managed to reschedule for the first trip out on the Friday (24th October). Definately worth the wait. We saw no less than eleven sperm whales (including mothers with babies). Huge excitement when the first... More

This was a scam. 4 of us spent 57 Euros for a 2 hour speedboat ride. That is close to $300. It was clear that there were not going to be any whales to see (Oct 10). We spent 1/2 hour watching a few dolphins swimming around a fishing boat, then the pilot sped off for an hour at about... More

Clients’ reviews have most significance for TERRA AZUL. A positive opinion rewards 14 years of experience. A negative is an encouragement to get higher standards of service, satisfaction and opportunity to improve performance. Considering Mr. James L. report we are facing two sides of same issue. One probably related with excessive self-expectations leading to personal frustration. Other, a judgment of... More

We went for a "swimming with dolphins" tour and enjoyed it very-very much. Although we were 8 people on the boat each could go into teh water 4 tiems to enjoy the dolphins. Briefing and explannation on the boat were clear and helpful.

We had an absolutely fantastic tour with Terra Azul and our great guide (Stephanie?). The boat was great and we were lucky with the weather. We drove from Furnas in to Vila and found parking at the marina very easily. Our tour was meant to start at 9 but didn't leave until half 9. As Terra Azul use a 'spotter'... More

Went twice. Whales and dolphins are wild creatures and so seeing them can't be guaranteed, so two trips seemed like a good idea. First trip we were lucky and saw two species of dolphin, four adult sperm whales and one baby. Only thing that spoilt the trip were selfish people at the front of the boat who couldn't stay sitting... More

Amazing trip. Well organised with Land based lookouts guiding the boat. Knowledgeable and lovely tour guide. Definately a must do. Saw at least a dozen sperm Whales and hundreds of dolphins to entertain us.
