A sandy beach with warmer water is a great stop for a hot day. Go to the Taverna do Pim for lunch. There are a few tables outside along the seawall. We got the soup of the day, local kale soup. It was delicious. There are a few hiking trails up to the top of the caldera with great views... More

My favourite beach in Faial. There's a cafe at either end, the whaling museum and a lovely walk up Monte da Guia. It's a nice cove which keeps it safe and the water gets deep very gradually.

Attractive beach with good facilites and warm shallow waters. Its a short walking distance from Horta Marina, with a cafe on either side. Has a European Blue flag (so very clean water) and a lifeguard. Well worth a vist.

It's a very nice beach in a bay in the city of Horta. Has white thin sand and it's very good for children because of it's shallow waters. You can climb Monte da Guia, wright next to it and have a wonderfull view of it and of the city.

Porto Pim is the only real beach in Horta and really is very attractive, the whale factory nearby is worth a visit

Just near to Horta you must climb the mountain and see the very nice bay of Porto Pim. A nice view with Horta and Porto Pim side by side.

Is a lovely place, not only in the summer but also all year around, is great for doing walks in the beach and swiming, is a beach but is more like a big pool! Carmen
