people selling junk out of their trunk....you can buy the same stuff while you are walking in loulė. I would not bother stopping at the gypsy market.

The gipsy market was poor. However the town Loule was very nice and had a beautifull market hall in the center of town where vegetables and fish and other products could be bought. In the little streets around the market hall is the farmers market where locals buy. Near the old castle is also a little handcraft and art market.... More

The market is in a big hall with individual stalls selling clothing, bead jewellery, wine, belts and other souvenirs. At the end there is a fish section. It was pretty calm, clean. This is a throwback to the way markets used to run and others like it are found in different parts of Portugal

A fair selection of clothing, leather and souvenir type items. Worth a look but I am sure most tourists would be familiar with the wares on offer. There are"designer" type items on offer but you would have to be careful on the price you pay. Relatively easy to find and there is plenty of parking in the area.

We found great bargains here - dishtowels and scarves that were one 10th the prices in the town of Loule or in LIsbon. But the relentless come-ons from the people doing the selling were distressing. But it was a sunny day and in the off season it wasn't crowded, so we just moved on from the pushy sellers and found... More

The market building behind it is cute and the market is quaint and since you don't have thousands of things to visit in the area you will end up visiting it any way.. but don't expect to find treasures on this market, if you want better things to go inside the "non gypsy" market building

.. but there was little choice and little to tempt us, disappointing as we were expecting something that was a little more unique.

Plenty of all sorts, clothes, handbags, jewellery etc. just keep a tight hold of your handbags. Have a good look round as prices do vary from stall to stall.

This is one market I will not be returning to. Loads of clothes stalls selling cheap tshirts and such like. Didn't buy anything, just walked quickly round. Not a patch on the main market in Loule town centre. Don't bother visiting.

The Market is like most markets but I gave it an excellent because I think everyone needs to visit this part of Portugal. When you come away from the market and walk up towards the farmers market you come to the old part of town . It is beautiful truly beautiful .. the castle and the street "rua de outubro"... More
