There are quite a few British pubs in Lagos, but we go to this place because it’s Portuguese – not just Portuguese owned, but many Portuguese people like to drink there too. The prices are low compared to most other bars and there’s much more chance you’ll get to chat to locals as well as other tourists here, as it... More

Bar Lionheart is in a side street that leads up to the hospital. We called in this bar most evenings for a drink whilst on holiday as Jose the owner is such a nice guy and is most obliging. There is an excelent choice of music and he has various things going on later in the evening from Karaoke, a... More

Great bar! Quiet at first but live music late night. Great place to strike up conversation with other tourists or the bartender/owner.

The bar has an authentic traditional interior with an internet corner and free Wifi, a good mixture of portuguese guests and tourists, and an amazing choice of drinks at very reasonable prices. I only wanted to have one drink, but ended up staying late – because I very much enjoyed the great music selection (perfect if you are between 35... More

Need to look for this bar, is up side street near Cafe Odeon & hospital. Service good but this is a cosy place and just a bit too cosy for comfort when a few people in. We went to go in last year on holiday but walked in and out again because of the music ! Better when we tried... More

Stumbled upon this nice little bar up the street leading to the hospital, on the right hand side of the church. I had been in there many years ago (1988) when it was owned by a different person. We met Nunes, the owner, and spent a few really good evenings in there. Nunes is a very nice, friendly guy. Very... More

The Lionheart was recommended by the gentleman we booked our apartment with and quickly became a regular feature during our fantastic stay in Lagos. Holidaying with young children we were more than well looked after by Jose, his brother and staff. The Lionheart has a warm welcoming atmosphere. Jose was an excellent tour guide, not to mention bar man, offering... More
