We went with a 2 year old and a 5 year old on a Saturday afternoon in mid-April and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We were the only people in the whole place so no waiting to have a go on anything. Exhibits were very good and could be enjoyed by a wide range of ages, including 2 year olds, with... More

We went without children and had a great time. It was rainy outside and the middle of the day during the week. Due to our timing, we had the place to ourselves. Therefore, no waiting behind kids to play!

Enjoy a walk down the walkway, view the replica sailing boat that the early adventurers braved the seas in to discover new lands. Vendors ply their trades from small huts along the waterside. The town is pretty and well worth a walk round.

The science museum in Lagos is great value at only €6 for a family of 4. We enjoyed 2 hours of educational fun. Lots of hands on exhibits. Kid's (age 7 & 5) favourite was sending semaphore messages to the adults! Well worth a visit to break up a day and as a great alternative to the beach and pool.

If I recall it was about 6 euro for 2 adults and 1 child, almost all of the exhibits are fun and hands on to engage the children, our son is 8 and loved it, especially the pirate ship outside and the semaphore exhibition. Go to the third floor of the fish market and the entrance to the museum can... More

If you go to the Algarve you need to visit Lagos. This is a lovely quaint little town with a nice harbour. It's really clean - some lovely little shops and restaurants. We didn't spend enough time there because we were on a trip but would definitely go back. It's got charm and well worth a visit.

Nice outdoor playground where the kids can play and learn at the same time. Shade and nice view also. The boys (3&7) loved it. You need 2 hours or more.

Pretty and interesting little town with lovely winding streets and plenty of nooks and crannies. Historic aspect is great, but there are also lots of shops and restaurants.
