I was not expecting much after arriving in the city near the marina, but walk one block into the town of Lagos (pronounced Lagosh) and you will find narrow, winding "pedestrian roads" that have many shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, one of the best next to the old slave market that is being rebuilt, was closed. We walked to a small... More

Useful way to spend a couple of hours. €6 for 2 adults & 3 young kids.. Great value. Interesting ways to appreciate early technology & a couple of fun ways (lighthouse, garden & ship) for it to finish off too. Closed on Monday (might be worth knowing)

We went with a 2 year old and a 5 year old on a Saturday afternoon in mid-April and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We were the only people in the whole place so no waiting to have a go on anything. Exhibits were very good and could be enjoyed by a wide range of ages, including 2 year olds, with... More

We went without children and had a great time. It was rainy outside and the middle of the day during the week. Due to our timing, we had the place to ourselves. Therefore, no waiting behind kids to play!

Enjoy a walk down the walkway, view the replica sailing boat that the early adventurers braved the seas in to discover new lands. Vendors ply their trades from small huts along the waterside. The town is pretty and well worth a walk round.

The science museum in Lagos is great value at only €6 for a family of 4. We enjoyed 2 hours of educational fun. Lots of hands on exhibits. Kid's (age 7 & 5) favourite was sending semaphore messages to the adults! Well worth a visit to break up a day and as a great alternative to the beach and pool.

If I recall it was about 6 euro for 2 adults and 1 child, almost all of the exhibits are fun and hands on to engage the children, our son is 8 and loved it, especially the pirate ship outside and the semaphore exhibition. Go to the third floor of the fish market and the entrance to the museum can... More
