Very well maintained course, good service and breathtaking views. A bit hilly, some would prefer to take a buggy. More

If you play golf when in the Algarve, then this is a must play on your list . Newly updated and re planned 27 hole course set between the bay of Lagos and Alvor, the views are spectacular and whichever 18 holes you play, they are set up fantastically well with awesome greens that are well paced, large & small... The old course was great but the new 27-hole course is even better!! 1-18 is a pretty tough test, especially off the white tees so for a more relaxing holiday game I would recommend 10-27. The views are fabulous all round the course which makes a game of golf at Palmares a "must do" for every golfer visiting the Algarve. More

Played at the end of January and was slightly disappointed with the greens as they were still recovering after being hollow tined. That said they ran reasonably true and I guess in a week or so will be great. Played off the back tees which in hindsight was perhaps a bit of a mistake. The lad I played with is... More

I loved the old Palmares - but this newly designed 27 hole course is even better! The views are wonderful - you can see the sea from almost every tee - and you can hear the roar of the waves from the lower links holes too. It's a really enjoyable course to play - even if you're not playing well... More

Wonderful layout, the views are fantastic from every hole. The greens had been hollow tined but still very true, would love to play them at there best. A bit of a walk between green to tee on some holes and hilly ,so a buggy would have helped. Not an easy course but a good test of golf for high and... More

First 9 is a true links course, the back 9 in the forest. Very challenging course, with stunning views of the sea. More

Very good golf course as are all in the Algarve but certainly not cheap. We hired a buggy but found that you cannot take the buggy on the fairways but have to stick to the concrete path as a result you have to walk from the buggy to your shot and back every time so it involves more walking than...
