Nicely laid out. Bigger than it looks. Not too expensive. Animal appear well looked after with plenty of open space.

Not the best zoo that we have been to but a nice way to spend a few hours. The park itself is relatively small compared to some that we have visited, but the animals they have are well kept and the area is well laid out. Worth a visit.

Lagos Zoo exceeded our expectations by far. I generally hate zoos and the thought of animals in captivity abhors me but Lagos Zoo is very refreshing in its approach. You wont find big game animals here so no lions, tigers, elephants and the like. The biggest animal is a hippo and the rest are mainly monkeys and apes with lots... More

We visited the zoo today with our 2 year old and all enjoyed ourselves. Under 4s are free. 16€ for adults (for those saying it's expensive, ALL zoos are, they cost a lot to run). It was clean, well maintained, info on animals in English and Portuguese. We spent 3 hours there and could have easily extended that with lunch... More

This is more of a small animal zoo - don't expect lions and giraffes. Clean and well kept with plenty of information about the animals in a varity of languages. The keepers are very knowledgeable and helpful. Good access for buggies and wheelchairs. It was nice to see the "monkey islands" instead of them being in cages. There was a... More

You can easily spend a morning or afternoon here as long as you don't rush round, it's largely birds and farm animals but there are monkeys, hippos too. Good for families with young children, we took a picnic although there are places to eat aswell. We thought it was quite expensive for what it is but most importantly the animals... More

Well run zoo, lots of information for the children and quite hands on. You can feed some of the animals. Fairly priced restaurant.

Got to the zoo using the local bus which gave us two hours in the morning ; coffee on arrival set us up for a pleasant and mostly shady stroll among the animals and birds who all seemed to be well cared for and there was no sign of distress . No big animals . A pleasant morning or afternoon... More

Quite expensive as half a day is more than enough time to see this zoo, but very interactive for smaller children! Very surprising little zoo which our children loved with the miniature alligator and hippo and a great ape area who are most fascinating to watch!

I have been to the Zoo de Lagos on a small few occasions now. I love it. It's a small zoo, but it has lots of animals. There are lots of well-sized enclosures that do not seem to compromise the other spaces within the zoo (paths, etc). The animals seem well cared for and 'content'. A definite must for anyone... More
