The zoo is not very exciting, mainly birds and small animals but still it is a nice idea for a trip. We however decided to go there buy bus, feft to early as the driver didn't speak English and couldn't help, so a long walk spoiled the joys of the visit and to make things even worse we ended up... This was a lovely little zoo and we really enjoyed our visit. My son was expecting some Lions, tigers, elephants and giraffes but they didn't have any. the monkeys of all types and the little park they had soon made up for that :) definitely worth a visit :)

The zoo is well laid out, clean and has lots of shade. The animals and birds are easy to spot. A very enjoyable morning was had by all.

The monkeys are on an is,and put they can leave if they choose to. The birds are not enclosed. But they just chose to stay. Small but interesting. Large turtles.

A great zoo for little ones. There was a wallaby roaming around freely, birds, turtles all every where. The different breeds of monkeys were entertaining. My 15 month old child loved it. Worth visit.

We had a lovely morning at the zoo, lots to see and do and being able to get so close to the animals was great. My daughter walked alongside the tortoises. It didn't feel commercialized either. You could definitely spend a whole day here. Most animals seemed well cared for with enriched enclosures etc. The only exception to this was... More

Really loved this zoo! We went at the end of April and saw this off of trip advisor and some signs up round Albuferia. I wasn't expecting much by the reviews on here but it was fantastic! Yes there are lots of birds but there are also farm animals like minature goats and horses, donkeys, chickens, rabbits, Guinea pigs. Then... More

We all loved this zoo. Relatively small. But some of the "inhabitants" roam a little.. such as the ducks, the wallabies & the peacocks. Needless to say this brought great excitement to the little lads. It was also easy to get to from Lagos. The green line bus (number 6) goes along the Avenida at about 10am.

There is an amazing collection of tropical birds and although the zoo is not large, it is beautifully laid out and the animals and birds all have good sized enclosures. They all look very well cared for and as happy as animals in captivity can be. Some of the primate islands are particularly enjoyable to watch.
