Thought we would visit before catching our flight home. Only a small zoo but was a little disappointed as it was mostly birds so a few of the walkways around the enclosures smelt a bit. The atmosphere also felt a bit sad but maybe that was due to all the animals sleeping due to the heat. So not a great... More

We decided to visit Lagos zoo on a bit of a whim but we were amazed when we got there. The zoo is a lovely small ish zoo which has a large collection of animals. My son loved the Terrapins which are just by the entrance until we walked around the corner and were surprised to see wallabies just wondering... More

One of the best zoo's we have visited. It was clean and well organised. You get closer to the animals than in other zoo's, while the facilities for the animals are excellent. Huge selection of birds, but also other interesting species (monkeys, wallaby's, cats etc.) I would recommend going here. We went with taxi from Lagos (15 euro) admission is... More

Went to Parque Zoologico de Largos we all had a very good time. Walked around taking our time looking at the animals reading the info. It's well sheltered from the sun by tall trees, has two cafes, lots of seats and WC's Zoo shop is a little expensive or I'd have given the 5/5 Don't expect to see lions, tigers... More

Attended this Zoo a little apprehensive, given some of the reviews on here. Was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Don't get me wrong, you won't spend all day here with things to see and do but my partner and I spent a good couple of hours here, easily. As other people have mentioned, it isn't your classic bigger zoo with enormous... More

What a welcoming suprise after reading some of the negative reviews. Not your typical big zoo with big animals. However, what lacks in size is made up tenfold by its charming little animals of the world, that tends to be missed in larger zoo's. The zoo is cosy, relaxing and clean. The animals look very content. Easy to move around,... More

A really nice zoo. Animals look happy :-) first time ive actually seen mere cats up and about very active. Beautiful array of birds. Bat enclosure where u can go in was creepy but an expierience I have never had. Prefer this place than zsl. Next stop lisboa zoo :-)

This is a lively little zoo set in beautiful countryside. We weren't sure what to expect but there is a variety of different primates and birds from around the world. Well laid out and maintained. Good info in Portuguese and English our kids at 8 and 10 loved it!!

We visited the Zoo in July 2015, I was bitterly disappointed, in it as an attraction. The attitude at the gate by staff was rather rude and unwelcoming to say the least. First exhibit was Reindeers!..... what on earth is a reindeer doing here in Portugal, the male who braved the extreme heat was being eaten alive by insects and... More

I'm a very big zoo fan but, with this zoo it shows a lack of animals that are zoo animals (too many birds). It also shows a expensive price for what you see, it is to small and the petting zoo could do with a few animals to pet, I'm very disappointed, wouldn't recommend it.
