If you want elephants and lions you won't find them as this is a small privately owned zoo. But it has a great range of animals, especially monkeys and exotic birds and is brilliant on conservation. You can get up close to the animals and I took some fantastic photos. A superb attached restaurant as well (O Cangalo)

A great little zoo. Well worth a visit. They take your photo when you go in with a parrot, don't be afraid to pose it how you want to. I got a beautiful close up of my daughter with one on her shoulder. You can choose to buy or not when you leave. We live near by and have been... More

All the animals are beautifully cared for and chosen with love. It is wonderful to wander around and pet some of the animals and watch them all in a natural environment . Exotic birds are worth just watching. A lovely snack bar, where you may have to share your lunch when a little monkey jumps on your table. Just fun,... More

We went to this zoo, which is a way out of Lagos, as we knew it would entertain our toddler, and it did! We did find at first that there were a large number of birds on show, that's fine, they're not necessarily what we would look for at a zoo, but they seem to be a prominent part of... More

This zoo was good value and well worth the visit. It provided my fIrst encounter with a wallaby running free and not fazed by visitors. The animals look well cared for and fed, living in an open environment where appropriate, great to see the monkies, gibbons etc swinging freely around their area without peering through bars. The cafe's menu is... More

I visited this zoo with my partner and 2 year old. I'll start by saying it's not a huge zoo like some I've been to, but that has its own appeal as it's easy to get around and doesn't take hours. Also it's completely flat the whole way round so easy to push a buggy round! We really enjoyed our... More

I should start by stating I don't like zoos generally, because I struggle seeing animals in captivity. However, I bowed to pressure from other traveling party members and went along. The many birds are kept in enclosures which are far too small, and the reindeer were pacing around their tiny run. The saving grace was the freedom the primates have... More

I am normally not a fan of zoos but this place is really lovely, more of a conservation park than a zoo. The animals all seem very happy and well taken care of, the grounds are beautifully maintained and everywhere is clean and tidy. There are little cars that you can put your toddler in for €2 and they can... More

Visited the zoo during our two week vacation. The zoo is great place to spend a couple of hours. Its not that big but does have a wide variety of animals to keep everyone entertained. The zoo also has a great old tracker that our 2 year old loved very much. Only real negative was as we were leaving we... More

This is by far the best zoo I have ever been to! I loved the fact that the animals had big spacious areas to roam around. The monkeys had their own islands and were showing off swinging through the trees- it is nice to see the animals looking content (unlike a lot of zoos you visit). There was a good... More
