On a grey cloudy day this was a great family day out

As others have said it is a lot of bird based animals but we had a 2 year old so seeing peacocks wandering around the paths and ducks walking past us was brilliant. Also farm... read more

There is an amazing collection of tropical birds and although the zoo is not large, it is beautifully laid out and the animals and birds all have good sized enclosures. They all look very well cared for and as happy as animals in captivity can be. Some of the primate islands are particularly enjoyable to watch.

As others have said it is a lot of bird based animals but we had a 2 year old so seeing peacocks wandering around the paths and ducks walking past us was brilliant. Also farm animals and monkeys and snakes and lots of others. Good time to go is for 3pm when they are feeding most animals and its enough... More

Our family enjoyed our visit to the zoo here. We had been before on a previous holiday. Our favourites were actually the baby ducklings swimming around and a gentle Indian cow which came over to be patted in the petting zoo. We enjoyed watching the keeper wade across the water with food for the various lemurs and a protective male swan... More

The whole experience left the seven of us that went totally disappointed. They advertise over 120 species but I am sure nearly 100 of those are birds. The cages are all overgrown with weeds and the whole place looked untidy and not cared for. We went to entertain the children for the day but they were bored after one and... More

Me and my family went to the zoo just outside Lagos and it was good very small but worth a visit if you have younger children. Don't expect big cats like zoos in the UK but it's value for money.

We visited this zoo with our 3 year old, it's a really lovely well kept zoo and thoroughly enjoyed it. The animals can all be easily see, it's a nice walk round, the facilities and cafe are good, definitely worth a visit

We have visited Lagos Zoo a couple of times before and have always enjoyed the experience. Although quite small in comparison to some, this zoo offers a wide range of exhibits kept in well laid out areas. The entry fee is very good value and is well within the reach of many families. There are many bird species on view... More

Simply said, I think I had more fun than my 2 year old. And she had a blast as I pushed her around in a nice hand car (only 2 euros) to each exhibit and she had a smile on her face the whole time. Great experience!

We've been to the zoo a couple of times now and our favourite attraction are the monkeys and apes. Their open enclosures were amazing and the whole area beautifully landscaped. We went in January and we encountered less than 12 people during our three hour visit. The gardens are well tended and had the feel of a tropical paradise. The... More
