A 4 km long beach with plenty of room, busy month August when the Portuguese come from the north for the month, however still plenty of space Safe beach but swimming with care, enjoy!

You can always find a spot without people close by... That's something in Algarve! Can get windy in the afternoon but you don't have to lay down all day... Have walk...

It is an extensive beach of fine sand that stretches along a beautiful bay of crystal clear water. It has several beach facilities and accessibility is very easy. The ideal time of day to be on this lovely beach is in the morning because in the summer, especially from 14 hours onward, tends to raise wind that turns the sand... More

One of the nicest beach i have seen. Clean, wide and fine sand. Nice palmtrees and also a nice beach bar. The only negative thing is that you have to cross train tracks and kids need to be under supervision

Nice long beach. Personally I like the rocky beaches better. This is a little bit like The Netherlands. Lots of space and lots of sand. Even a few dunes. To my opinion you can do better around Lagos.

A couple of miles of golden sand almost to ourselves in December. The beach is clean and although we did not swim on this occasion the beach does not shelve sharply so you can get some distance from the shore and still touch the bottom.

One of the best beaches around Lagos. Even in the mid-season still empty and nice. Funnily, there's a train station next to it so you can literally get off the train on the beach:)

Beautiful beach. Campimar restaurant has the best shrimp around. Wonderful staff. Great atmosphere during the day, with all the surfers around. And a lovely relaxed restaurant of an evening. Fantastic place to see the lovely sunsets.

It never fells crowded either swimming or sunbathing. it's clean and well maintained. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants at regular intervals. And free parking.....what more do you need for a day at the beach!
