Although we were here in the winter we visited this beach which is amazing, lovely fine sand and so long, had a great walk, nice looking beach bars, had lunch in one called Bahia, which was excellent, must go back in the summer.

Meia Praia is a beautiful beach, stretching for approximately 4 kilometres. It is a fine, sandy beach, a treat to walk on. The sea rolls in with waves that can be quite high, depending on the wind. It is great for a good walk, first thing on a March morning. It is so peaceful, with just a few people taking... More

Meia Praia is a very extensive sandy beach just to the east of Lagos. Access from the town requires a circuitous walk via the Marina, though in the summer there is a ferry across the River Bensafrim that shortens the walk considerably. Buses run from Lagos, and there is a small railway station at Meia Praia too. There is a... More

Had a swim here but also had 2 nice long walks-bare feet on beautiful soft clean sand-you could not ask for better, The noise of the waves, the air, so few people, Heavenly. Some people climb Mountains but to me in my late 60's walking a beach like this was just great. To swim in the clear waters was every... More

Miles of sand and surf dotted with a few restaurants close to town. A very nice clean beach with nice views of Lagos. Lovely to walk or to watch the sunset behind the city.

This is the largest beach in Lagos. It has great access, great beach support facilities, and due to it's size you can always find an uncrowded spot. Beware of the norht wind that in some afternoons will blow sand, towels and parasoles. This is the best beach in Lagos to go to when there are waves (S-SW wind).

I have a really great personal memory from this beach, but obviously not everyone will have that. My memory is when I went parasailing off Meia Praia and it was truly amazing, I felt like a bird. If you don't fancy being a bird for fifteen minutes, then you can relax on the not-really-busy beach, or you can go to... More

What a beautiful beach. White sand that stretches out for miles and the bluest water. My husband and I relaxed at the beach club behind media beach and paid to use the sun bed. This was the perfect hang over cure before heading to the beach and then finally getting a bite to eat. Such an amazing place to spend... More

Beautiful long sandy beach... a la California! The beach connects Lagos and Alvor! Don't get stuck on the wrong side when the tides change! Fab for a long stroll ... bathrooms only available in the beach restaurants as far as one could see. Nice to park in one of the spots and just do a long walk. It gets busier... More
