You can get to the beach from Lagos by crossing the river by the footbridge near the marina or get the ferry from the quayside (this will drop you directly behind the beach area). We had a hire car when we visited so we parked further along by the Gaivota Branca Restaurant (which is on the dunes). Good sand, very... More

Best beach in Lagos if you like those kind of sandy beaches. Always a little windy but it's worth it!

This beach can be walked from one end to the other in about an hour. Lovely soft sand and very very clean. I did the walk and didn't find any litter at all even though the beach was busy. Loads of space for families to play beach games without getting in anyone else's way. Beach bars at regular intervals serve... More

It's a lovely crescent of golden sandy beach. But as others say it's way too windy and the water is very cold and thus why only the brave venture into the sea..

Beautiful long sandy beach, very clean and with wooden walk ways. Loads of people and families but not crowded, plenty of sun loungers available. 1 euro for parking, loungers and umbrellas at several prices. Cafe facilities at the back of the beach. You have to cross the railway line so take care with children.

We found the beach side quite windy in August. Consider buying a wind shield, for instance at Continente hypermarket.

Looks amazing but if the wind picks up as it did on our visit you will find yourself munching on sand sandwiches, and the water is as cold as swimming off the coast of Wales. Looks lovely though.

Really long sandy beach which is always busy, but there is still plenty of room. The water is a little cool, but that can be really nice. A few places along the beach for snacks/lunch. Quite hot midday, nice in the afternoon to early evening.

beautiful sand and lovely clear water. Plenty of water based activities avaiable and the beach side cafe's gave a good atmosphere.

Super cool white beach sands! Very good for any kind of trip either with kids or with friends. Only thing to keep in mind is that the water is freezing cold! Parking is 1€ a day
