Vast unspoilt beach, lovely to walk along or spend the day on a sun bed. There are beach bars dotted along, some of them stay open for dinner at night. There are lifeguards on the beach. You have to access the beach via a rail crossing, this is safe as there are warning signs and barriers, it is a single... More

This is one of my most favourite beaches ever. It's huge with endless sand. I have only knocked off one star as there are not enough umbrellas. Anyone in the area really must visit this hidden paradise. xx More

A huge beach, almost abandoned when we were there in May. What really sets it apart though is that there are cafes and bars all along it's length but set back in the dunes. So your walk swim or family day out is free of garish advertising but you can still pop in for a coffe or beer or just... More

I'm biased, I live only 5 minutes walk from Meia Praia beach so the place is my "garden" but you simply MUST visit it, especially out of season. It can be calm as a millpond or wildly wavy but it is always beautiful :-) More

The main beach in Lagos stretches for 5kms from Lagos to the estuary at Alvor. Several good beach restaurants are stretched along the back of the beach. There a lifeguard areas designated in summer and the beach slopes slowly into the sea so good for kids. Gets busy during high season but never too packed. On windy days the sand... More
