Well worth the money! We were approached by a friendly, but not aggressive sales rep whilst walking through the marina, we advised we'd return the following day and he accepted that, no pressure which we appreciated! I liked that you could choose whichever departure and return that you liked, potentially facilitating as whole day on the island. Retuned as planned... More

It was an exciting experience which I definaletly hope to do again. I would recommend it as an activity for everyone to do when visiting Faro. The trip on the boat to and from the dessert ireland was very beautiful. And the actual dessert ireland itself was unique and interesting in appearance.

Going to Deserta Island is a priority choice to those are going to visit Faro. By Ferry you reach the Island in less than 40 minutes, but I recommend to do the Nature tour, nice information about birds, history and traditional activities. By the first time I’ve seen some Ospreys, booted eagles and thousands waders birds. Who love nature will... More

The journey out was pleasant we had a great lunch on the island. We ordered the fresh sea bass which had only been caught 5 minutes prior to us ordering. The staff also fillet and de-bone the fish for you as well. We had it cooked over an open fire, amazing flavours and service. It was nice and to walj... More

We were going to take the ferry to Ilha Deserta, but were so pleased that we had changed our minds and decided to take the catamaran, with a guide, run by Animaris. We left promptly at 11.30 and had a really interesting trip to the island, with the excellent guide constantly pointing out the many varieties of both the bird... More

Visited this with our young family and loved every minute of it. There were 2 adults, a 12 year old, a 2 year old and a 1 year old and it was an ideal day out for us all. We chose the guided tour which involved bird watching from the catamaran. You can buy leaflets showing the different types of... More

This was an organised excursion for a conference party of around 100 from Olhao. A lovely saxophone player (Mr. Ben) provided entertainment. Cocktails on the deck in the beautiful October sunshine in calm waters. Then on the island a very informative and friendly guide led us on a walk around the island to the Southern most point of Portugal where... More

Chanced upon this in Faro and loved it - the best day out on our 2-week holiday. The guide was very enthusiastic and informative. Take a picnic on the morning tour (11.30am) and go for a walk on the island or relax on the gorgeous beaches before coming back after lunch. Or have lunch in the old square just through... More
