What a stunning beach. Untouched by urbanisation. Need a car to get to it. But wow. And that was on a foggy morning. Love to visit again when its sunny!!

Praia da Marinha is a beautiful natural beach with a coarse sand. We enjoyed it very much, can definitely recommend. Very popular beach so don't expect to be alone there in August. Watch out for the rocks when entering to the sea. There's quite a bit of smelly seaweed there so it's not the best if you have a sensitive... More

The Marinha Beach rated by CNN as one of the most beatiful in the world always attract many people in the summer months. The trick as with many of the world resorts is to visit when the crowds have gone. In October you will find a few on this beach but come New Years day you could sun bath with... More

A stunning beach with rich scenery.I give the beach itself 5 stars but as we arrived a little too late in the afternoon it was packed. Just too many people. Worth visiting if you like your beaches but wasn't for me due to the sheer volume of people.

We returned hear after 6 years break in August and found the beach had lost much of its charm. Very rock at low and flooding tides, making it almost impossible top enter the water without injury. No beds, poor snack shack, expensive umbrella rental.

This beach is stunning, we managed to get a parking space, a top tip go early in the morning. There are steps down to the beach around about 100, but well worth the effort. If you walk through a cave you like us can find a more secluded section of the beach. One of the best.

A truly stunning beach, with interesting rock formations. The beach is large and thankfully so is the car park at the top, room for everyone, even in August.

You have your choice of beaches. Very crowded that you can walk to (steep climb) and some you can only reach by boat. There are many beautiful beaches along the coast but I think those in the Praia da Marinha area are the most beautiful with clear blue water. Well worth the drive. The climb is very steep so if... It was crowded when we visited, but we managed to find a good spot to place the parasol. When I went for a long swim to see a different view of the rocks, I realised we should have carried on walking to the far end, where it was much less crowded, plus the sea was a bit warmer. It was... More
