The rock formations are awesome. You can walk throughout the cliffs and find all sorts of mini caverns. Be sure and wear comfortable shoes. There are steps accessible to walk to the cliffs and many worn paths as well. I highly recommend visiting this site for some beautiful photo opportunities.

This is a wonderful rock formation, or 'a window' called A Boneca, where you can enter and enjoy the ocean. The walk from Carvoeiro is a nice one through a well done path on the cliffs.

At Algar Seco you have wonderful views to the ocean. The friendly staff is quick and conscientious. The food comes in big portions (after a Lunch you don´t need a big evening meal) and tastes very nice.

In Carvoeiro is this beautiful place with interesting rock formations. On the boardwalk you can walk along the edge of cliffs. Steep stairs brings you to a small restaurant between bizarre rocks. In November, the restaurant was closed. We recommend to visit this place.

This amazing natural beauty was only made accesible by man. Nature did all the rest. Always go there when in Carvoeiro. Nice for a swim and a stroll. Looking at the daredevils who dive from the cliffs. Nothing for us though, just looking them is enough... Never tried the bar-restaurant, to much smokers and there are so much good restaurants... Algar Seco is a beautiful area of Carvoeiro with the caves and lagoon and cliff jumping (if you're brave enough!). Some beautiful scenic pictures to be taken by any budding photographers - it is a beautiful place! There's a small bar to pick up a cold drink and some snacks at a reasonable price. Just avoid if you don't like... More

We always go to Algor Seco to have lunch when in Carvoeiro. Such a lovely spot, overlooking the sea with uninterrupted views. Also a lovely new boardwalk cliff top walk has been built, so go for a nice ong walk, and then a leisurely lunch at Algor Seco!

Lovely area to explore , lots of places down among the rocks to explore . The new wooden walkway also gives the area a whole new perspective . Great are for walking or sitting taking in the views out to sea or along the coast .

Interesting natural rock pool, with beautiful sea view. The small bar and grill restaurant is good possibility for drinking a coffee, beer, and for light snack and fish lunch.

It's worth a walk along the new boardwalk from Carvoeiro to see the rocks and blowholes made by the sea. Walk though the short cliff tunnel for an amazing sea view. The other footway is a great visit at high tide when the sea swirls, crashes and hisses in a whirlpool of water. The bar/restaurant is uniquely placed among the... More
