This is a stunning and beautiful place to visit with breathtaking views and it even has a little restaurant to relax and enjoy and drink and a snack. I didn't dare climb on the cliffs though.

This is a delightful part of Carvoeiro where you can walk along the coastline (mostly on an elevated boardwalk) and you have breathtaking views of the sea and at times you can see the caves below. There is a restaurant which can be reached by some steps and it is nestled right down amongst the rocks, you call call there... More

Its a nice walk around this area, With well laid out paths on the top. When you get below there are stairs, and then rocky paths. Algar Seco is a typical example of the kind of rock formations around this area. You can see many via a boat trip, or close to the beaches. This is one where you can... More

We had been to Algar Seco for a sandwich at lunch time and it was excellent to sit and watch a stunning view. We had dinner with another couple and we were all impressed. I had duck and it was perfect. Others had sea bass and sea bream and both were very good. Highly recommend.

We have visited this bar restaurant several times for drinks and lunch. It's a fantastic setting down steep steps in between the orange rocks of Algar Seco right by the sea. The chicken piri piri with chips and salad is really good and just enough spice to be really tasty. Jugs of sangria are very refreshing on a hot day.... More

Had a nice lunch, very friendly staff and a great view. Looked into booking to stay in a villa here next year but they were already booked - so a good sign that they are good at what they do

I first discovered this magical place about ten years ago, it was run by a free spirited like hippy, served us our food and sat and chatted with us, great spot to chill out. i have returned time and time again, the latest was May 2015, the place has been modernised an very busy, good food and drink!

Such a picturesque little place to sit - situated right on the rocks and beside smugglers cove and the rock pools. The friendly staff coupled with the appetising menu and drinks list makes it the perfect place to spend an afternoon in the sun
