Views are fantastic, location superb. Restaurant and pools and wonderful apts, villas to rent with the most spectacular views. Scrambling down the steps to a little cafe amongst the rocks and peek a boo views thru the grotto is fantastic. This is a perfect hideaway location

This boardwalk linking Algar Seco to Carvoeiro centre provides an amazing grandstand from which to gaze in wonder at the cliffs of sedimentary rock and how the sea is eating into them. It is a fascinating example of how our planet has evolved over the millennia

I've been to the bistro at the Algarve Seco resort lots of times and have never been disappointed - the menu is mainly fish but the steak my non-fish eating son had was second to none - the staff are all friendly and professional - great lunchtime and evening venue.

Algar Seco is a beautiful spot and really represents the Algarve cost line. it isn't suitable for people with walking difficulties or young children but worth a visit and a walk round the headland. you can also pop into Boneca Bar next door for a drink!

If you have 10 minutes to spare a lovely walk around the walkways and is a picture of the Algarve in miniature

Visit here to the little cafe in the rocks, and to see the classic cave and geological features that are so classic of the Algarve coastline! It really is picture perfect, and I would actually advise walking in the morning. It's very pretty and you can stop for a lovely drink before walking along the new boardwalk all the way... More

Follow the cliff top paths to some more fantastic views and unparalleled photo ops. If you climb down nearby steps in season there is a small restaurant where you can have a glass of wine and believe all this beauty is just for you. Really worth seeing.
