If you can't afford the taxi to the old town, don't fear! You can buy a ticket for the tourist train which circles the town regularly. First stop is at The Strip. I went with my family to the Old Town in Albufeira, Algarve in Portugal in the winter of 2007. It was really sunny with a gentle warm breeze as we walked through the old town.
