Read about the history of Albufeira and explore these old buildings, it's amazing. Exploring the buildings and streets, finding out what were in the original walled town was amazing.

Picture of Sant' Ana is correct. The review by 'Evert F' relates to a much older and smaller church a short distance further down the hill towards the centre of the 'old town', which houses artefacts relating to the history of Albufeira, and for which there is a small admission charge. TonyH

Meander to the high end of the old town of Albufeira (just follow the Bell), and you will find an exquisite small church, which has been converted into a small museum of Albufeira. It is a little gem, which you should not miss!!

Nice church to visit when browsing by foot in the old town. Actually it isn't akways open but as we stayed the whole week at the BayView residence of which is next door we managed to go in when it was open to public

A lovely experience, there are so many beautiful churches in Portugal and all worth a visit. There is so much history and lots of it involving the churches.

we popped into this church and were delighted! so plain on the outside but stunning inside! Well worth a visit! the kids loved the 'electric candles' as we always light a candle in any church but you pop your money in and the lights flash before staying on so you can see which is your candle! The alter is one... More

A lovely beautiful small church and with great views from the front door. We loved it when we visited, if I remember right it was only open in a morning. Do go and have a look.

Very old baroque type church visited many years ago when the main Matrix church was being renovated wonderful interior. Not as ornate as many churches but this only adds to its charm. Never seen it open since that time its a shame as it is very old and historical and should be viewed more.

This little church is very pretty and well looked after, when we were there last year the white walls were spray painted with graffiti which was such a shame but the next day the walls were sparkling white again which was nice to see.
