Falesia beach is only accessible via a choice of wooden walkways, all with steps but is well worth the effort to get there. Backed by the usual spectacular cliffs with all their bright colours, the beach is of soft sand and seems endless - you can walk all the way to Vilamoura (about 5.5 kilometres). The only downside is the... More

One of the best beaches we have visited. Striking coastline with cliffs (not for the faint hearted!). Miles of perfect sand, clean etc. Take the points about wheelchair/buggy access, this is the only negative and why it did not get 5 stars!

This is a beautiful beach with the colourful backdrop of the sun drenched cliffs. Sun beds are available at various places along the length of the beach, but beware some are very expensive. Check before you settle down!!!!! Also dotted along the beach are various cafes/ bars. My favourite is below the Porto Bay Hotel and serves great seafood

Not good for wheelchair or buggies! But beautiful scenery and lovely sandy beach. There is plenty of car parking and cliffs give a great view although not safe for children as there are no fences.

Gorgeous beach. Well worth a visit. Park by cafe and walk down the wooden steps to the beach. We visited in April and it was very windy but hardly anyone there. Easy to watch the children and a good gradient into the sea. Fantastic cliffs as a backdrop.

Falisia beach is very clean and during our stay was not at all crowded, access could be a problem as it involves negotiating some steep steps.

Falesia beach must be the most beautiful beach in the world: cliffs, various clay colours, dramatic views, large size, fine sand, a few beach restaurants within walk. Take a long walk to Vilamoura, and come back by bus if tired - perfect in the winter when it is not too hot for walking. Never fails to impress people. We love... More
