Gale beach is a beautiful . There are three restaurants right on the beachfront, all very good value. You can take a stroll for miles if you wish or walk a little way and find a more quitter spot. The areas near the restaurants will get a little more crowded in the summer. Great place to watch the sunsets and... More

Gale is a wonderful place for a family holiday if you want a quiet place with a beautiful beach. There are three restaurants right on the beachfront, all very good value. There is a huge supermarket- Apolinas which is quite expensive but they do a takeaway menu which is fantastic value and definately worth trying. We stayed in villa magali-... More

The beach is lovely and sandy and lots of rocks where you can shade from the sun. The only draw back was rocks on the shore line where you couldn't see them and kids running in can hurt themselves, as well as us adults!

Kids loved our visit here. The waves were really strong crashing against the rocks so the kids main fun was running away from them before they hit, while we keep a close eye on them to ensure they were safe. We were only sorry we had to leave after a short visit due to rain.

The long beach in combination with the small cozy beach, restaurant and since 3 years the nice Lounge at Pedros Amarelas is for me the best spot in the Algarve.

We visited Praia da gale after a Portuguese friend told us about this beach. We are so glad we went as this beach is absolutely amazing. It was such a shame as it was a cloudy day with a few drizzles of rain but nothing stopped us sitting on this lovely beach. The sand is so clear not a shell... More

This is another lovely beach for families with young children. Huge rock formations are there which give protection from wind. There is a beautiful & stylish cafe on the beach. Toilet facilities are there and plenty of parking available. Sand is golden & soft.

Spend a relaxing day at Praia Gale; a superb beach which a handful of excellent restaurants/bars serving great seafood. When you arrive at Gale, the beaches to the right are busier (more mainstream) but better for swimming...the beaches to the left are nestled in and around weather beaten rocks and small caves, but you can discover your own little private...
