This is definitely something you will want to see in Evora, for it has artefacts from every phase of Evora's history, and many of them are perfectly beautiful.

This museum has a couple of floors of fantastic pieces dating across many eras. Marble pieces are extremely well preserved. Entrance is free.

We had heard, both in reviews and in the writings of one of Portugal's great writers Jose Saramago, that this is a very respectable museum for being in such a small city. Well, I beg to differ. artifacts associated with the stone, bronze and iron age were on view - some associated with the megalith complex lovely building with the glass floors and creative lighting annoying were the out of control school kids yelling and screaming! happily they left after 15 minutes, peace and quite returned, perfect for quiet contemplation enjoyable place to spend a few hours

The Museum deserves more than five star for the display of Roman and middle age collection. Plan at least two hours and you will not be disappointed. Very close to Temple Diana

Astounded to see so many treasures for such a small place. The place was deserted, but full of expensive artefacts. didn't expect to enjoy it, but the displays were varied

Some interesting local history. Stop in if you are there, but don't make the trip just for the museum.
