Genevra gave us more information in 4 hours than I could have imagined! We saw so many sites and learned so much. My son and I highly recommend Flanders Battlefield Tours. Gen, I got that book you recommended, "A Rifleman Went to War," and you were right, it is excellent. Thanks again for the tour! Could not have been better!

Our first visit to the WW1 Western Front was to remember our Great Uncle missing in May 1915 at the Battle of Festurbert in French Flanders. Crossing the hotel car park with Jacques a man said hello to Jacques, and then turning to my brother and me with our wives, said " You are lucky. you have the best WW1... More

Recommended by a friend who is in the Battlefield Tours business (and he knows what he's talking about), Flanders Battlefields Tours gave us a superb full day tour of the Ypres Salient. Our very modest guide Jacques made the whole experience come to life from the first site to the last. His knowledge is encyclopaedic and delivered with just the... More

Hello...thank you for completing a review...it is a labor of love for us...when we stand in a cemetery no matter how big or small, stand looking at panels of names of those that are missing we are humbled. We should never take for granted what we have today...It helps keep us balanced and have a healthy perspective on life today.... More

Wonderful weekend, but exhausting. Our driver Dave was great getting in and out of the tiny lanes. Our Tour Manager/Guide Dave was excellent. Where ever possible he tailored the trip personally. His depth of knowledge and service really made the weekend. Organising evening meals and lunches that were tasty and excellent value for money. Would I go on this trip... More

Thank you again , we will... More

The country side was so beautiful with wheat/Canola growing so well and freshly ploughed & planted soil all looked so good. We occasionally saw recently 'dug up' shells waiting to be collected for disposal. The Museums are very well presented, the Cemetery's and Memorials through out the battlefields are extremely well cared for. Walking amongst the headstones or reading the... More

My family and I enjoyed a superbly informative tour of the battlefields last week. Jacques is an incredibly well informed and thoughtful guide and was able to convey bothe the bigger picture of the war, but also closely relate this to the diary which my grandfather wrote during 1918. The tour was friendly, educational and very moving.

Hello again Neil, thank you for completing the review, your Grandfather certainly was and sounds an interesting man...I'l certainly hoping to learn more about him hopefully once you're able to obtain the records. Both Jacques and I will without a shadow of doubt remember the friends that he lost in the war and over the quiet months go and pay... More
