A 15 minute walk from the central Squares (but also very close to the tourist coach drop-off point and a major car-parking area), it's worth taking some time here if you like some peace and tranquillity because it's quite beautiful and the surroundings are pleasant. There are lots of wildfowl including many swans and it's near the Beguinage and plenty... More

Just fantastically beautiful! Tranquil still water with elegant swans moving silently on, and the whole area small but full of medieval atmosphere! I returned for the second time in one month and would like still to go back one day!

Words can't explain how beautiful this park is at sunset. During the day it's beautiful as well, but at night it might get a bit creepy since it's big and there are almost no people walking around there at that time.

This was such a nice walk on a clear frosty morning even with the huge tour groups occasionally getting in the way. Really pleasant lake, swans, buidings and pathways through the trees with little bridges. Only 15 mins from the city centre.

Take a walk to the lake as soon as you wake up in the morning. You'll have it to yourself, and get photos that look a thousand times better than the ones everyone else will take just a few hours later. This place positively SWARMS with tourists, and for a good reason. Go in the morning before breakfast; you will... More

This little lake, situated on the edge of the old town, going towards the train station, is a very romantic spot you should not miss when in Bruges. I go there evrytime when in Bruges and just love it. Trees hanging over the water, the towers of Bruges in the background, ducks sleeping on the side of the lake... What... More
