Flemish artwork from 15th to 20th centuries

Not a large collection, but it illustrates both the evolution of Flemish painting and it's influence on European art.

This museum is a great collection of Flemish art from the 15th to the 20th centuries. Arranged so that you can see the development through the centuries. Had a contemporary exhibit as well.

We asked our hotel for any museum discounts and got a coupon for 3 euros off the museum card, 17 euro each. We toured the Groeninge and its attractive grounds on the morning of Tues., 28 April. The crowds were light and the museum was well laid out and does not suffer from cramped galleries. We both enjoyed the early... More

This a very nice collection of Flemish artists who developed a distinct style and it is well represented. The museum flows nicely from one time to another. Only draw back was a profusion of tours with art experts taking over the more famous paintings and completely blocking the view to everyone else. They were loud in their presentation and we... More

I visited this museum with a friend who recommended we take a trip there to see the paintings. I'm not normally an art buff but found it very interesting gleaning historic details from the paintings on display. Definitely somewhere to come when you have time to take a proper look. Our hand luggage was deposited in a locker which made... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this museum. It is a well-curated and accessible museum specializing of course in Flemish art. I found a number of the works very moving. If you like art, this is a must-see.

Delvaux and many more. From 15th to 20th Century there are marvelous works for every taste and sensibility. Ticket price for adults is 8 euro, but... More

Looked round everything for an hour or so. Less to see than we expected, but probably still worth a visit if you're interested in art from various periods. Got in free with the Bruges City Card.

If only this museum could take the time to write a brief description of at least the highlights of the museum. We wanted to know more about what we were looking at but there was no information available.
