This museum is a small, comfortable stop to make while touring Bruges. It has a really nice collection of Flemish Primitives (Jan van Eyck and the gang). There is also a great, disturbing painting by Hieronymus Bosch, "The Last Judgement." I kept going back into the first gallery to look at it. The museum is not large but it's small... More

The museum has a wonderful selection of art for most tastes. There are some truly outstanding pieces from lesser known artists amongst the more renowned works. The museum has a laid back feel and it's a relaxing way to discover more about Belgian art. More

This museum really focuses on the Flemish primitives who liked to paint in gory detail. The paintings are arranged chronologically and have some explanations. I would have liked to know a bit more about the artists, their motivations, and techiques, but this is a small museum. The later works seem like an afterthought. More

Some great paintings in this museum. The modern art looks pathetic compared to the wonderful medieval stuff. More

Worth an afternoon to stroll and enjoy. Good collection of Flemish art covering the last 6 centuries up to contemporary Flemish art . Well presented and arranged. A pleasant way to spend an hour or two in Brugge. More
