The gallery itself is beautiful but the enforced locker policy, which they don't tell you about when you purchase a ticket, is very frustrating. I've never been to a gallery where you have to lock everything away before you go in. We didn't have any change on us, so were directed back out across the square. When we came back... More

Nice calm environment where everyone leaves bags, coats etc at the cloakroom leaving a comfortable environment. Some excellent artwork and free access to the smaller art gallery just across the road. Good value for money.

This is a small art gallery with some interesting Flemish paintings. The story behind The Judgement of Cambyses was well explained to us by one of the museum's staff. You can take in most of the exhibits in 60-90 minutes. Good gift shop

Were really excited about seeing the museum and the art inside was wonderful. Was very let down by the surrounding experience, especially after paying entry fee moving to an area closer to the entrance being told that we needed to pay an compulsory fee of 1 euro for the cloackroom/lockers. Now 1 euro isn't much but we didn't have any... More

We were there last Saturday afternoon. At the cloakroom, we wanted separate tickets for our coats because due to my illness, I am unable to spend too much time on my feet. I feel guilty that my husband often has to curtail his activities to look after me. The man insisted do both coats on one ticket. We tried to... More

This was a nice little museum with Flemish art. Several nice pieces, easy access and ability to get extremely close to the paintings. A good visit during a Brugge stop.

I visited the gallery earlier this month with a group of friends. Not being and art buff myself I was sceptical but I have to say the array of art on show was brilliant for the size of the building, I even found myself studying the paintings like a pro by the end. I recommend anyone arty or not to... More

Despite visiting Bruges many times this was only my second visit to this marvellous museum, as I am usually accompanied by others who have little interest in this sort of thing. The permanent collection is small but of mainly very good quality, and displayed in chronological order. If you like the work of the Flemish Primitives and of the Northern... More

Excellent collection and worth seeing if you are an art lover. Bruges pass is very helpful as you can go back in.

(Went December 2012) So many works of art, a must see if you ever visit Bruges. We were in there for a couple of hours and still didn't manage to take everything in. Go!
