Good stop but much was covered due to renovation. It's still open even though many entrances look closed if you walk to side near St John Hospital museum, that entrance is clearly open.

Huge beautiful church that hopefully will be so much when restoration s complete. Seeing Michaelangelo's stunning work leads to comparison with fantastic churches in Venice or the other cities... Sadly it doesn't come close

A large section of the church is under restoration. It was very confusing where the entrance was and the signage is poor. We spent 10 mins trying to find the entrance. I wish the authorities had maintained some sense of aesthetic inside. The ticket booth is oddly placed, the inside is neglected. All in all while the place is grand,... More

A majority of the church is not open due to renovation. it was very confusing trying to even find the Michalanglo Madonna! When we did find it hidden in a corner, we had to pay to see it and the "Museum". The "Museum" consisted of about 5 other pieces of art.

The church is being renovated but you can still see Michealangelo's Madoona and Child next to a window that lights it beautifully. The sign outside showing the opening hours is really confusing - I was able to get in in the morning, so I think it's meant to say that hours are reduced on Sundays (rather than every day except... Visited here as part of our Viking River Cruise. Just to see the statue by Michelangelo was amazing. The church was very nice, but the real attraction was the statue.

This would be just another pretty church in Europe if it wasn't for the marble statue by Michelangelo of the Madonna and child. You have to pay a small charge to see it but it's worth it as its one of very few of his works outside of Italy and France. The Church is being restored. Go to the rear of... More

Not a notable church, big lineups from all the river cruise visitors and the many others, construction and yeah, one Michaelangelo from a distance. Only worthwhile if you have a devotion, or simply insist on seeing everything to see in any given place.
