The famous belfry tower can be seen all across the city. 366 steps can be tough but there are different levels with things to see on each & offer a welcome break. We saw a guy in crutches at the very top, if he can climb it then surely most of us can! There is a short wait to enter... More

To get a good view of the main square and the city of Bruges just climb the 365 steps of the very beautiful steeple. The stairs are narrow and you must have an additional breath but in the end the view is rewarding.

Bruges old town is a very pretty place with lots of interesting buildings and places to visit - all of which you can see on foot and up close. No need to climb up a tower! Climb up the Belfry and all you get is the exact same view but further away and a massive hole in your pocket. Though... More

The views are really worth the climb to the top, you can take a rest at various points their are landings. before getting to the apex prepare yourself or a narrow climb but it's worth it. Avoid getting to top at noon as bells are very loud!

Worth the 366 steps to get to the top. The stairwell is cramped and steps are small. Great to be in the tower when the bells chime - it's really not that deafening honest!

Beautiful building. Go very early as it's one in, once out. Reasonable price. The stairs are very steep and narrow so be careful but fantastic views and get to the top for the hour to see the bell ring - wonderful

The walk up may seem tiresome, but once you reach the incredible view that awaits you - you will want to do all again. Once you're up there, hang around for the bells to chime.

Towering above Bruges main square this was a great place for us to head up with our cameras. Unfortunately for the cameras the views are hard to capture between the safety wires. Having said that just to experience was great and the clock mechanism was brilliant to see and hear the bells up close! The only thing i would say... More

I tried to run up, silly move. I nearly passed out half way up, maybe I wasn't half way more like quarter! lol It's all about the views from the top. Bruges really is a romantic place to be.

This imposing yet beautiful medieval bell tower stands at the heart of the city and is THE landmark attraction in Bruges. From the ground you can use it to help you navigate your way towards the Markt (square) and surrounding attractions. But (if you're prepared to climb a lot of steps, some quite narrow and steep) it is well worth... More
