Its a beautiful view from the top. Not a highrise in site. Go early to avoid queues, it is necessary to queue as only a limited number of persons can visit an any one time. Be warned there are LOTS of steep narrow steps its not for the faint hearted. More

No queue when we visited so we went straight up to the counter. 8e entrance but it was well worth it. Avoid bringing too big a bag / back pack as the stairs is narrow! Be prepared to break a sweat! More

We had to wait about 30 minutes to get tickets and get in. The steps are uneven and get very steep and narrow in places towards the top so don't go if you are claustrophic or scared of heights. As of May 2012 it is €4 per person to climb the steps to the top of the Belfry. If it was free then I certainly wouldn't whinge or if there was a lift I would happily pay. But the size of the queue and the lack of access at the top were really disappointing. More

The belfry is a challenge and great fun. They say 366 steps but I didn't count them! Very narrow towards the top. Stop at the floor before the top to see the amazing mechanism of the clock/bells. More
