Long line for tickets during tourist season, and they pack the boats like sardines, but this is a "have to do" in Brugges. Wonderful views of homes and parks along the canal.

During the walking tour through the city, we found this nice place. It's history is very interesting and atmosphere is... strange - but in good meaning of this word. You can imagine the fates of all that women lived here...

Beautiful, tranquil, a must see when traveling to Bruges - glad our bike tour took us through. I have lovely photos from the walk through.

The grounds were beautiful and peaceful which made a nice change from the madness of Bruges market area! The church was lovely and well worth a visit but the sign posts were small and unclear so it was hard to know where to go apart from the obvious church.

A picturesque stroll in old charming Brugge. Ending in a pond with a hundred swans! On the pathway/ roads you found the horse-driven carts at 44 Euros for half an hours drive.

A nice peaceful place. We saw it from the boat and then walked to it. It's quite nice place in Bruges. A lot of tourists though.

As I live in the Wijngaardstraat, this place has been my home for the past 8 years. You might be visiting it for a day or even a few days but trust me when I say it never gets old. There's a sense of magic around this place.. especially at night when it's quiet when everyone is gone and the... More

The Convent is home to Benedictine Nuns . Entering through archways you find two chapels and numerous white painted houses set around a small area of parkland. It offers a very peaceful detour on the walk into Bruges centre from the railway station. The Beguine's house is open to visitors and it remains exactly as it was when first constructed... More

This historic community for religious women may be the loveliest place in a beautiful city. The serene white buildings ringing a shady green square set a contemplative mood. Don't miss the little museum, which includes a look at what a resident's bedroom would have been like. A peaceful oasis in a town crammed with tourists.
