Very calm and peaceful place, great to walk around it and watch the houses. You can see also the historical house that has its own museum about the life of the nuns.

We pretty much had this peaceful little park to ourselves. It was easy to imagine what life might have been like here at an earlier time. It was a lovely place for a stroll and some quiet contemplation.

Definitely worth seeking out this story book picturesque spot. Have your selfie stick ready and be patient as lots of people want those snaps to.

Wonderful place,a step back in time. Busy but it is easy to avoid the crowds by stepping down any side road or ally and you always discover something new

It is really hard to imagine the life of the béguines, but this village helps understanding what that life was. Strolling in the park was very peaceful (and quiet, since it is still in use by Benedictine nuns). One of the houses can be visited, presenting the stern interior of the living quarters, as well as many items and artifacts... More

I love walking along Brugge. The Beguiage (Begijnhof), built in 1245 as a nunnery, is still a tribute to silence in the city. NOt only a feast for the eyes and ears, but also a picture paradise.
