You will find this a 10 to 15 minute walk from the main central Squares, near to the Minnewater and with a plethora of restaurants and gift shops nearby. It is close to the walking route into the city from the tourist coach drop off area. You enter it over a canal bridge and are immediately struck by the tranquil... More

We strolled through the Beguinage for about a half hour and took some pretty photos. It's nice to be able to walk through a place and feel the history behind it. The Beginhof is a tranquil area of Bruges that won't take long to visit but will leave a lasting impression. We popped into a few of the buildings, though... More

Well laid out. very clean.speak to the locals and find out the history (instead of buying a book). If they do an "organised" visit ,take it

This is a must visit for many reasons. The place itself is charming. The best pics of brugges can be taken from there. Most importantly, if you take a walk from the center of brugges, (about a 10mins stroll) you ll get to see what the internal streets of brugges are all about! Take a slow walk from the center... This was steeped in history and a lovely break away from the main square with a beautiful church in it. Incredibly peaceful

In the summer, Bruges gets crazy. This place offers a nice relaxing vibe, little talking, and if you want some quiet time with the Big Guy, a really nice little church to hang out. If you go in April and May, there are tulips everywhere.

Atmospheric, timeless and well preserved. Walk through this area with reverence and just enjoy the ambience and peacefulness as you absorb the past years. Take time to read the placards and displays and you'll gain some understanding of what these pious women were about.

Loved the peaceful nature of this place and the bowed trees. Was lovely on a crisp frosty morning and a on a dull cold late afternoon - both made for some nice photos. Worth a stroll around

The grounds of this beguinage are well kept, peaceful and a nice change of pace. The nuns sell homemade goods to support the beguinage. There isn't much else to do, but walk peacefully.
