Slow down in Bruges

Peaceful place with houses besides small canal. I spend only few hours there, but it stamped a mark in my heart. Will be back one day.

A guided tour with commentary on the history and major sights ending up at a boarding point for a canal trip, near lots of sensibly priced restaurants

What a beautiful place, we did a day trip to Christmas markets. It was just lovely we also had a trip on the horse and cart but it was very cold.

Must visit place in belgium is Brugge . If taking a weekend train from Belgium book online and get 50 percent off. There are lot of local trains from brussels to Brugge . The only issue is 2nd class booking does not have a seat number and weekends with the rush getting a seat become difficult. Once you reach bruges... More

Having just returned from a 3day trip on the wonderful Anthem of the seas I wanted to update this travel review that I copied from here. It was very useful and I would thoroughly recommend. Royal Carribean also offered the USD$50 bus ride but many of us followed the advice below. Timings -as a rough guide, the shuttle was 5mins,... More

Looking for a short break, with something of interest for anyone no matter what your age. Bruges is a very picturesque town with an oldie-worldie feel. Many of the narrow streets have lots of different shops & bars to enjoy good food & refreshments & watch the world go by. Of course, there are many chocolate shops as you would... More

I have been a few times on the Hull to Zebrugge Ferry as part of a deal which included travel from Glasgow by coach, overnight on the ferry, coach into Bruge and then the same coming back. All at a very reasonable price from Caledonian Travel. This time I took my daughter and took the meal deal which gave us... More

Went to Bruges (Belgium) on The Pride of York - P&O Ferry..from Hull to Zeebrugge. It cost £220.oo for two people sharing a basic outside cabin. Amazingly, this included a buffet dinner and breakfast!! I drove to Hull and parked just opposite the Ferry Terminal, It cost 14.00 pounds for 48hrs parking (Not Bad) and went through the check-in and... More

The mini cruise from Hull to Bruge was great value and well organised. Even entertainment was thrown in. The food, we paid extra for at dinner and breakfast, was plentiful, tasty and good value (soft drinks and hot drinks included). The coaches - also included in cheap price - took us close to the centre. Bruge is beautiful! The climb... More

The winding cobbled streets and the horse carriages bearing Christmas visitors were great to look at and the markets, swans, churches and Cathedral well worth a visit. The only real highlight is the statue of Madonna and child but the whole city is beautiful and certainly worth a visit.
