Whilst in Bruges we visited the war graves. Although upsetting was really informative. I didn't realise that people were still being blown up and they were digging up unexplored bombs from world war 11. The graves are immaculate and the people show a lot of respect. Would recommend this to anyone visiting belgium

We arrived back this morning from a short mini cruise to Bruges. We originally booked an outside cabin for two but upgraded to a 4 birth while on board. We hardly slept because we both found we were lying on the metal surrounds because the mattresses didn't seem to fit. We had pre paid for the meal on board and... More

I didn't personally partake, but I watched a number of these carriages pass by and I must say, I've never seen more beautiful or prouder horses than the ones I saw trot by me in Brugge. They seem to love their job!

This short "cruise" to Bruges is a hen/stag party! and no better than a ferry ride. Getting information from P&O about which night is Black tie etc was impossible. We waited three hours to board with no idea why. The food was nasty (salad in gravy), chewy meat. We had bad weather so couldn't dock - not P&O's fault, but... More

What a beautiful city. It is small and picturesque with lots of shops and beautiful scenery when walking by the river or taking a boat trip. I visited the city while my staying in Brussels, it is only 1 hour by train and if you travel during the weekend, trains in Belgium have 50% discount for everybody. The station is... More

If you are looking for the excitement of OLD, then Bruges if the place to start. The architecture is mind boggling when you look at the buildings and gargoyles that must have taken years and years to build. For the overweight you can rent a horse and buggy or travel by boat throughout the canals with little walking. For the... More

Bruges is definitely worth seeing. But this trip is long. About 3.5 hours by bus. If you go it would probably be better to take the train to Bruges and stay overnight. The tour we took was through Lindburg Travel, and although it was advertised as "In English" half the bus spoke Spanish and everything they said they repeated in... More

Went on the two day trip to Bruge with Caledonian Travel. P&O Ferry was terrific the food was first class, I can well recommend. .Cabins are small but amazing what you get. a lovely shower, shower gel and hand wash all supplied. Bruge was really nice, a bit expensive for drinks, went on the canal trip and found it really... More

If your cruise ship docks in Zeebruges, you must either take a bus shuttle or taxi to get to Bruges since this is a giant commercial port. It will take you some 30 minutes to reach town. But it is time well spent. Bruges is full of very nice buildings, churches, canals, etc. There are plenty of nice restaurants, chocolate... More

Please see this quaint city with wonderful canals. Take the train from Brussels central train station. Be sure to ask what the final destination is for your ticket. Bruges may not be listed as a departure city.If you know the time and final destination, the train is easy to use. The town is very close to the train station and... More
