Very quirky. Not the sort of art you would want to put on your own walls. But an interesting insight into an extraordinary artist. Who was excellent at self publicity
I must admit I didn't get his art but my wife loved it. Well laid out and a massive collection I'm pleased we had a city card which we got more than our monies worth round different museums and art collections. But I appreciated the work that went into the paintings.
We had a great time at the Salvador Dali Exhibition. There is a huge amount to look at and a great deal to learn about the works and life of Salvador Dali, I learnt a lot about the processes of his work, including how he created his films and prints. The audio guide was definitely worth listening to, it makes... More
This place is full of paintings, sketches etc, all by Dali, if you like Surrealistic art this is should be for you. Not sure if they were originals or replicas but not sure that matters in the end. We had bought the Brugge card and all the museums were closed at 5pm so figured we would give it a shot.... More
I have never been able to see a large collection of Dali's work before, so I was excited to see this. If you like surrealism at all, you will enjoy it. Keep in mind that a lot of the imagery is sexual in nature and therefore not suitable for kids. If you are looking to see some of Dali's more... More
Great exhibition with some wonderful Dali pieces. Very well designed exhibition space. A credit to the curator. There could be some additional information provided on the works, perhaps a sheet of information, the only option is to pay an extra €2 for an audio guide for this already pricey exhibition. Overall this exhibition is well worth a visit, situated in... More
It was a wonderful mix of the man great work. Not to mention his illuminating saying! We only left ourselves an hour, but could have spent much more time. Taking photos was a big bonus. Would have like more post card choice.
I´ve been to all three Dalimuseums in the world - the first one in the united states, than the one by Dalí himself in Figueras and last but not least the one in Berlin at the Potsdamer Platz. All three are real museums and not just a businesscase to sell merchandising or reproductions. Brügge is a very nice town..and doesn´t... More
This was a nice escape from the noise and activity of the market. The audio tour was more than worth the 2 extra Euro, I wouldn't suggest doing this with out the audio guide, that made it worth the money. There are also 2 couches that you can rest on for an unlimited amount of time. Very comfortable and informative.... More
