When in Bruges, there’s nothing like viewing this historic city from its canals. These affordable, 30-minute boat tours follow the same routes and offer commentary in several languages. But because they’re incredibly popular with visitors, don’t be surprised by long waits in line.

It makes you wish that you live by one of the houses by the canal! To me coming from a busy city like Singapore this place is like a dream! The canals and the bridges that connects the town gives Bruges a distinct identity. Dont miss the canal trip, it gives you a different look and feel of the lovely... More

Since you visit Bruges, it is up to you to feel the spirit of the city by taking a canal trip! Those trips offer another view of the city, more atmospheric! EXCELLENT!

Wonderful way to see the city. Expert guide relayed the history of the landmarks we passed. The canalboats give you an overview of the whole city and a view of the buildings not visible from the streets. After the boated we walked back to several of the sites we had passed. Don't miss the bars - they serve every beer... More

I am not a great cyclist but it was lovely flat and the added advantage got to see the windmills. it was away from the traffic and felt quite safe... Damme was pretty small version of Brugge

We thought the canal trip was interesting and definitely a nice way to see the other side of Bruges. The Japanese girls didn't get his Heineken jokes though which made the trip even more fun. The boats are always full. The boatman had obviously partaken of a few Belgian beers but was able to give a good commentary and to... More

I went to Bruges as a day trip while in Belgium for a couple weeks. I found the canals to be very quaint and really enjoyed walking alongside and over them. When it comes to the actual ride on the canal I was very underwhelmed. It was cheap at 7.5 euros or so, but it was quick and I couldn't... More

Quick and easy way to see around the beautiful buildings, cathedrals, churches, bridges, little shops, romantic couples via the canal. The tour guide could speak dutch and English, but hardly could follow his accent. But there was no need for a talking tour guide. The city spoke for itself. Such a lively, romantic, extremely clean place where you can actually... More

We went to Belgium in May and took a sidetrip to this truly magical city. While there we took a canal ride. The price was economical and we spent a 30 minute guided water tour of the city. It was truly jaw dropping to float by all the magnificent old buildings that date back centuries. All of this has been... More

A canal ride in Bruges is almost as obligatory as doing one in Amsterdam. It's a much smaller affair in this Belgian city but still well worth doing. For 7.60 euros you get a half-hour tour of a stretch of the canal which winds its way through the city, together with guided commentary. There are a number of places where... More

The canal ride was fun and interesting. Be sure you find a boarding area that isn't crowded. It's a not more comfortable if the boat is not filled to capacity. While on the tour, we saw boats that had half capacity, but purely for comfort. It's great even if it's full too!
