Nice way to see Bruges - you almost have to do it. Crowded boats and quality of commentary was not so great. If raining, perhaps wait until it stops!

If visiting Bruges for the day take a little time to see the city from the water. The cost is reasonable, the boat captain will offer some interesting insights into the city's history and architecture and you have a chance to sit back and relax while taking some great photos. Makes for a nice diversion from walking, shopping and lunching.... More

Nice way to spend half an hour seeing the city. 8 euros each so reasonably priced. They like to pack you on the boats, but if you count your place in the queue (they put about 30 on each boat) you can work out if you're going to be squeezed in last, or getting on as one of the first,... More

Our boat tour gave us more history and information than the guide books and Internet combined, and at €8 each, it's a bargain. The guide was funny and informative [I know each will be different, but I'm sure they're all good] and we used his knowledge to then explore the sights on foot after we had left the boat. That... This is a great way to spend half an hour, get to see the city from a different angle and be informed of some interesting history by the canal boat "captain". There are several canal-side stations where you can get onto a boat. Three of these are very close together, so if one looks busy it could be worth the... More

At 8 Euros per person for a half-hour tour, it's a reasonable expense for a fun thing to do on a sunny afternoon. You get to see a different side of Brugge and the tour guides give you interesting facts in 3 languages! There are lots of places to pick up a boat, so walk around a bit rather than... More

You see so much of this wonderful city from the canals. If you only spend one day in Brugge, this is a must whatever the weather.

We had one day to spend in Bruges, as we were on a cruise ship. WE were very very pleasantly surprised with how beautiful, historic, clean and fun that city is. The canal ride was so inexpensive, and lasted about 45 minutes to one hour. It was the highlight of our day. The boat is so comfortable and I cannot... More

We've been on this trip on both our recent trips to Bruges, and learned something new each time. The guides are knowledgeable and have a great sense of humour (well ours did both times), and we learned a lot about the history of Bruges, as well as some more quirky and fun facts. The price is very reasonable for a... More

We did this tour yesterday and would recommend it as a good way to get a perspective of Bruges from a different angle. We were however disappointed with the commentary which was given in three languages, which we understand is a necessity, but by the time the English version was given we were passed the sight being described and struggling...
