See the Venice of the north from a different vantage point. Worth the effort. Great way to enjoy this city.

We found the 40 minute ride enjoyable because the boat guide was both informative and humorous, and that probably makes the difference. My tip is apart from going on a fine day, choose to go around mid morning (say between 10.to 11am) when the guides are fresh and not yet jaded and the canals are not yet too crowded.

Bruges is a lovely old city with great architecture. There are many old buildings with lot's of canals that wind through the city. We took an inexpensive boat ride through the canals that was most enjoyable. It goes for about 30 minutes and shows many nice views visible only on the water.

Take this opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful sites of Brugge while be enlightened by an informative and highly entertaining guide. A great value, a canal ride we enjoyed more than our cruise along the Amsterdam canals (although it was lovely as well). You can pick up this boat company at multiple stops around the canals; some stops are... More

Brugge is such a charming place to visit, and like Venice, must be seen by boat as well as foot. There are many boat tours on the canal, and one thing to note is that they do not take credit cards, at least the two I stopped at before getting cash and getting on this one. The guide asks for... The boats are little more that large skiffs, crowded and don't provide any shade but this is the best way to see the city. The canals are filled with other tour boats plying the water but the tour helped us get our bearings for what we wanted to see later. Try to get a seat either in the very front... More

The boat tours are a great way of exploring Bruges from a different perspective. Commentary is given in a variety of languages and it was very interesting to learn some facts about the city. The commentary was both informative and entertaining. Recommend these tours for an alternative view of Bruges historic buildings and waterways.

I love boat tours in general, but this one was especially good, because Bruges is a lovely, charming and cozy city! We had also a very sunny and bright afternoon as a bonus, so the water and the trees were shining and the city was full of joy and enchantment! From the boat we could have a panoramic view of... I was impressed that our guide was able to give the tour in 3 languages (German, French and English) sequentially for each point of interest. However, his heart really didn't seem to be in it and our "30 minute" tour actually only took 20 so I felt a little ripped off.

What would a visit to Bruges be without a boat ride down the canal ? A poor decision. The boat ride down the canal was informative, interesting and peaceful. However, before you know it the ride is over. We were able to see many of the original houses and enjoyed the many plants and gardens. We were able to take... More
