Crossed and enjoyed many times this wonderful bridge. Around there, lot of iconic buildings, churches and restaurants. St. Michael's Bridge is called Sint-Michielsbug in Flemish. From this bridge one can enjoy the beautiful view of the famous Ghent towers: Saint Nicholas' Church, the Belfry and Saint Bavo's Cathedral and the Graslei and the Koornlei.

This is a charming Bridge in Ghent. If you do a walking tour then you probably will not miss it. For sure if you do a tour out of Brussels. I recommend a tour from Brussels because they are inexpensive.

Number of restaurants in the area and pleasant sitting relaxing in this historic area after ticking of the "to visit" places. Summer evenings especially good.

Just go there at twilight. Stay long enough for the dark and appreciate. You embrace the most beautiful buildings from the old city: the castle (Gravensteen), Graslei &Korenlei, Sint Michiels, the belfry, the Cathedral... Of course, quite a lot of tourists around but they will not stay long. Stand and enjoy!

Walk along the bridge and enjoy the view: on one side, the castle of the counts and lively restaurants; in front, the churches and the belfry, plus the historic center and all its buildings.

The bridge spans the canal and you can see three of the most important buildings in Ghent. It makes for a great photo opportunity.

Some fantastic views nearby with lots of restaurants and watering holes. Not a big bridge but stand in the middle for some great photos
