Saint Michaels Bridge is worth seeing when you are in Ghent but once you are in the city you won't miss it with great buildings surrounding it.

Standing on St. Michaels Bridge had such a magic feel about it, was reminiscent of the Rialto in Venice. The place was alive with tourists, all taking in the wonderful sights of this beautiful city. The river trips, coming and going and a really happy holiday atmosphere in the sunshine. Venetian? No. Enjoyable? Yes.

Sense of space and spirit there are very nice. The best time to enjoy it is with the sunset light ;)

I've been across one or two bridges in my time, and they're all charming in their own little way. St Michael's takes it to a whole different level. Lots of people gush about it lovingly and it is easy to see why. Everywhere you look there is amazing architecture: churches, belfries, castles and cathedrals, all can be taken in in... More

Awesome view from the bridge of the beautiful historic center of Ghent. Was very impressed - think Ghent is much more beautiful than Bruges!

From here you can see the big towers of Ghent and the Graslei and Korenlei. It is kind of the central point of sights. also a nice place to just stand and watch people. But in the night time it is superb, because the bridge, but also everything around it is beautifully lit. For the perfect shot (very scenic) come... More

This bridge over the canal besides unique towers and buildings is a place to take a stroll in the cool breeze or enjoy the sunshine near the railing of the bridge watching the lovely waters. Very relaxing view

This is the only bridge in the city, with the entire view of the city! So don't forget your camera! I think this is one of the sites that is most photographed. You can see the city castle, cathedrals, and watch the tour boats go underneath. Also there is a free public restroom underneath the bridge which came in handy... More
