This bridge is gate to the town and it is perfect spot to take pictures of canals and Granslei area. Spend some 15 mins in this area to enjoy the 360 deg scenery where you can see old buildings that can remain you to the glory in the past.

Take this bridge to enter Gent and you'll see the mighty Santa Clause Church right before you and beside you the even mighty St. Michael's Church and old Post Office. Admire the beautiful architecture. The bridge itself is very old and gives access to the Korenlei below. Guido and Marlène, Gent

I could stand on this bridge and just marvel at the different views for a long time. I took so many pictures and just fell in love with Ghent from this one spot. I'd recommend taking pictures from and of the bridge at day and night, one of my favorite spots in all of Europe.

Ghent has a number of noteworthy attractions, but the one (or three!) that hit the skyline are the Three Towers (namely St.Nicholas Church, the Belfry & St.Bavo’s Cathedral). St.Michael’s Bridge has become known as the designated vantage point from which all three of these can be seen together. This makes a magnificent sight, especially at night. Looking towards the river... More

The bridge itself isn't something outstanding...But from this point you have a wonderful view of Graslei,Korenlei,Korenmarkt,Saint Nicholas Church and Belfry.

Arrived by train from Aalst, got from the tourist information center a map and a 3 hours city visit guide and walked it threw. A perfect day. The view from the bridge is indeed beautiful, was a sunny day, a very pleasant walk. Did visit the burg, but the torture-display rooms not for ladies. Don't miss Ghent if in Belgium!

Plan to come back several times to photograph the area under the different light throughout the day/night.

St. Michael's bridge is the perfect spot for taking photos. From this view one can see the three spires. On Sunday mornings there is a little market in front of the church.

The local guides rave about the bridge and the views. They are great, but lining up the towers is, well, over rated. Plenty of churches and other tourist sites nearby plus restaurants.
