Charming old bridge in the heard of Ghent. St. Michael's is on one side, an old square is on the other. There are many things around to do and eat. Great for people watching.

This is a place where you can have an incredible view of many of the most important places in Ghent, so please, do not miss it. Walk though it, see everyting you have to and enjoy it. There are some cafes around so you can see it for a longer time.

St. Michaels is not open in January but the area is beautiful. The church is historic and very large. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

If you explore the central old town area of Ghent you can't miss "St. Michael's Bridge". This old stone bridge spans the Leie River and connects the beautiful Korenlei and Graslei streets of the town. These two riverside streets are lined with some architectural marvels and this historic part of town is simply stunning. I visited the bridge both at... More

This is an old stone bridge connecting the Graslei and Korenlei beside St Michael's church in downtown Ghent. It is an architectural feature of this area but I was unable to find a date of construction for the bridge. I am going to guess there has been a bridge there since the middle ages however the current bridge looks more... More

Very old, and picturesque bridge in the middle of Ghent. We went in November, so the skies were pretty gray, but you can still get a nice photo. There is a mural of the "Monuments Men" movie around the corner, so don't miss it. Very pretty spot for night photos.

Usually bridges or have a nice view of it or from it, but this one makes it difficult to choose, the views of the bridge are the most beautiful ones from the city, but from both sides of the bridge you can also see the lovely historical houses and the city center buildings. Ghent is for sure one of the... More
