The boat trip in ghent takes about 45 min. Since the channels are not connected, they have to turn and go back every time. This makes that you don't see that much during your trip. I prefer a walk through the city.

With 22 teacher we took a boat trip cava and appitizers included. We had so much fun! At the end we stopped at the restaurant were we had a very good diner. Price: 65 euro per person all in even dessert and coffee.

I was not impressed by this boat tour. The signs say it is a 40min ride for E6.50. Ours went for 25mins at the most and included driving to another jetty to pick up more passengers. The tour goes under the bridge to St Michael's church, back to Ghent river hotel and then out to Rabot. All of these sights... More

We were not sure what to expect on the boat tour, but found it to be well worth the 6,50€ As the only english speakers on a full boat I was really surprised when the tour guide not only translated all of the standard information for us, but even included us in the jokes and small information that we may... Our School Choir group enjoyed a great tour of Medieval Gent this week during a concert tour and were highly entertained and informed by the captain Martin. A chance to sing under the Sint-Michels bridge was also great and we found the whole experience to be very friendly and memorable. Beautiful buildings, restaurants and a great relaxed feel to the... Very nice time with the family, it was a cold breezy morning but the choice of covered or open boat was obvious to take in the sites. The tour guide Hazel was very nice as well. They offered blankets to the children and took us up and down several sections of the canal describing the sites and places in English... More

Ghent is already a stunning city by daylight, but discovering it on a small boat over the canals, in the evening, and with a passionate guide is just THE experience you should have from your excursion to Ghent. We loved it even if it was very cold, and wanted to share it.

The best advantage of a boat tour is of course you see things from a whole other perspective. Another plus, is that you are not bothered by surrounding traffic, people etc, and so we could hear everything very well. I loved the tourguide of this company, it was a young guy, and he was in general very informative, and added... More

It was really fun to get a chance to see Ghent from the canals on a beautiful afternoon, and the price was right - 6.50 euros for a 40 minute trip (ours was somewhat longer). Unfortunately, I was sitting in the rear, and the engine drowned out nearly everything our guide said. Plus he was translating into at least four... More

Something every visitor should do. Not expensive, a multilingual (Nederlands, (Dutch), German, English) guide who knows a lot of stories that even I (born and have lived in Ghent) didn't know. And, of course, a view from the water is always different than when you just walk by. Another company offers (for extra money?) some beers, but this one offered... More
