Enjoyed out visit here very much. Friendly and enthusiastic young fella gave us the tour, not the most extensive but nonetheless very interesting and I was fascinated to learn they used herbs rather than hops in there beer. Well worth a look.

As a diehard beerhunter I use to visit every interesting place, like this one. I was introduced to Gruut beer a few years ago, especially the dark Gruut was very tasteful. So I went inside and enjoyed the atmosphere, very pleasant and I took my Gruut beers on draught, cheers!

We had arranged a brewery visit with cheese and sausage plates and had a very good time sampling 3 tasters of their brews. We have been on a lot of brewery tours ( camra members) and found this one to be very interesting. Although it is very small Bram our guide/host gave a very interesting and at times amusing talk... Went for a quick lunch and a dark beer. There is no need to follow the guide through the little brewery as you can hear the explanation on your chair in several languages. The guide claims to have the only gruut beer in the world, but actually, that is not true. Brugse Tripel (a division of Palm breweries) also has... More

Unless you are a huge beer enthusiast, I wouldn't bother. Tours are right in that same restaurant/room and didn't seem nearly as interesting as in Bruges. Beer was fine- good to have the smaller size taster options. People were also ordering ham/cheese platters that looked fresh and generous, as well as full meals (stew/frites). We didn't eat here so j... More

This brewery is so cozy! A young man told enthusiastic about the origin of the beer and the brewery. Meanwhile we got the 'Gruutjes beers' put in cute glasses in front of us. 3 types of beer. I don's like beer but this time I did my best and it was surprisingly tasty. Afterwards we dined at long tables, delicious... More

Positive: - you get three different (small) beers - A guide tells you about the brewery and the process Less positive: - If you are not really interested in the story, you can just sit at the bar, look around (the tour is in the same room) and order 3 bigger beers and still spend less money than with the... We stopped by for a late lunch and had a great, relaxed time. The amber and brown beers are both delicious. Other reviews make it sound like the beer is somehow unusual but it's not strange - just very tasty! This is not a place to expect fine dining - there was one guy doing everything from waiting tables to... More

Great, house-brewed beer on tap. Their beers don't use hops, but use herbal alternatives for preservation. The food menu was nothing crazy, but the beer was great.

I made a brief lunchtime stop here, sampling their amber and inferno beers. I enjoyed both of them, nothing wildly different about them, but well made. It was quite quiet here early on a weekday afternoon. It looked like a pleasant spot for a meal, but that wasn't what I was there for. Worth stopping by if you are looking... More
