I have visited the La Paz Waterfall Gardens twice and plan to return again if I can. The butterflies, birds and big cats are awesome. This attraction really a Tico paradise. Climbing up and down to view the many waterfalls is a bit strenuous, but the falls are marvelous and the jungle plants and flowers are beautiful.

Rainforest and wildlife nature zoo. This is an interactive wildlife preservation site that I must say made the trip to Costa Rica worthwhile.

We stayed at Peace Lodge for our first night in Costa Rica and therefore had access to the property for two half days. I've reviewed the Peace Lodge accommodations in a separate review. First of all, to get the full experience of the property and see everything you will need a full day. Staying at Peace Lodge for 2 nights... More

We came a very rainy day, but still enjoyed ourselves. The waterfalls, there are several, are beautiful and well worth the (not very long, but quite a few steps) track to reach them all. We took the courtesy bus back! There is a large aviary (we were told that all the birds were either found injured in the wild or... More

The waterfalls are amazing, it is quite a bit of walking upstairs and down. They have a butterfly garden, aviary, and other animals. It is really beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the park.

We saw this area while in transition to another area of Central CR. You do not have to pay to go see the ones on the road.

We went on a Sunday and it was perfect. Nice and sunny. We really enjoyed the scenery, the butterflies and the hummingbirds. Also, we were amazed to see the frog from the ad "Follow the Frog" in real life. It's so cute. The Falls are great!!! Took beautiful pictures and enjoyed the walk. We ended spending the whole day there.... More

This is well worth the drive up from San Jose. The waterfalls are spectacular. The hummingbirds and butterflies and other animals are really cool. The buffet lunch is worth it - excellent. Great place to bring kids.

This was included in a combo tour by Tropical Expeditions. It was the last destination of the day, and I wish we could have stayed longer. I see many complaints in the reviews about the animals not having adequate accommodations. I did not notice that. Maybe we went under different circumstances, but they all seemed well care for, as far... More

I travelled with a group of 70 persons in July 2015 to Costa Rica and we were told that we could not visit without seeing this waterfall. We drove for about an hour and a half through a beautiful mountainside area. There was a lot of hiking through the lush rain forest, this was enchanting. As you walked you were... More
