The grounds are small, as is the house. However, the "guide" was very informative on the life of VanGogh, much that I didn't know. A quick video gives a history of this artist. The day I visited, they were short one person, so didn't get to appreciate the modern tourist building. Although small, provides a huge amount of information about... More

If you are a Van Gogh lover, this is a must see. Not much but a great connection. This is where Van Gogh discovered he wanted to be an artist! I loved it.

A small house on the outskirts of Mons where Van Gogh spent some time. He decided while living here to paint again and the rest is history....The house is small and only prints are viewable. Only one major work of art (sketch) is on display.

We were greeted by a very nice man who gave us some info on the area. The house is just two small rooms with a few pieces and letters that Van Gogh had written. I thing is a cute place to visit. Definately nothing to travel far for, but if in the area why not stop by?

remote place. In the middle of nowhere. nostalgic souvenir of Vincent. Contrast between the place and the colourful paintings of the genius

I took some French visitors. there was little to see; none of us could understand the film we were shown - the sound quality was so poor; the shop area was boring

The house is an interesting site, it won't be there much longer as it seems to be sinking into the swamp/marsh that surrounds it. The upper portion of the house is rented out to tenants and the lower half is a museum. It is an odd attraction for something that is supposed to be connected to such a famous artist.

My family and I diverted from a drive to Bruges to see the Van Gogh's House museum - it was not worth it the hour's drive detour. The musuem really has nothing for content so you are just really looking at a house. You are shown a 15 minute movie on Van Gogh's life which we had to cut 5... More
