The venue is lovely, like a fancily decorated beer hall. Touch smoky. We asked for a cheese plate which turned out to be an enormous amount of cheddar. The acoustics lend to it getting a bit loud when it was buy. Service was simple and efficient, though we really only ordered once. Came primarily for the tap only Mort Subite... more

Faro-lambic beers are hard to find, especially on draught. At Mort Subite, try this sweetened lambic from the Mort Subite brewery as well as their gueuze. The bar has a ton of character, worn wooden tables, high ceilings, artwork. It has a well used feel to it. Light snacks are served. Service was formal. This seems like a place locals... more

great place to have a few laid back drinks. good service fair prices and a great range of beers. always busy with lots of locals. all bars should be like this one. more

La Mort Subite is a beautiful place, totally unpretentious, and old. This lovely old place could be lifted straight from a scene in an old french movie, with gilded mirrors and old pictures on it's high walls, wooden tables and chairs, and a smokey atmosphere.
