Good quality bar .. good staff...great beer

Found this spot recently on a business trip to EC. Lovely bar which seems to have a nice bar menu (looks spot on for lunch). Great beers.... well worth an hour or two!

Beautiful, original turn of the century locals haunt. House wine comes in a litre bottle. Relaxed atmosphere. Sit, chill and watch local life

Absolutely loved this place, first of all as soon as you walk in you are greeted and shown to a table, there was a group of 10 of us and the bar staff were so patient waiting for us all to chose the right beer. In the end i went with the flow and had a litre of what a... More

I'm not sure why others feel this place is "touristy" as I didn't find that to be the case. A "local" friend of mine took me here and, if you like a menu with 200+ beers/wines covering four pages and only 1.5 pages of food selections (cheese/sausage), this is the place for you. My suggestion is that you not miss... More

Beautiful place with nice atmosphere but the disadvantage is that it is very touristic. But even with many tourists it worth a visit.

I arrived in Brussels at a time when I did not expect to much action going on downtown. Nevertheless, La Mort Subite keeps up the great atmosphere of Brussels, maintaining a solid base of visitors and a great assortment of wonderful beers. I would especially advise any visitor to this place to try the peach and the cherry beer of... More

One of the first stops I went to when visiting Brussels. I was with a tour group, so we had 2 dedicated tables to ourselves which was very nice as it was crowded. Ordered a beer while enjoying the decor in the bar. The Peach beer was delicious. I wish we had time to order a 2nd beer. I didn't... More

My guide book was recommending to visit this bar. The beer is good and the interior of the bar is nice. However I have discovered that many other bars in Brussels has the same kind of design and I now wonder why this bar rather then any other? Many many tourists too. If you dont know what to bar to... Lovely traditional Belgian bar. Drinks served by waitress to the table and great Belgian beers galore! Would definitely go again.

Great bar - like stepping back in time. I love the decor. Great service - I had a glass of wine and my boyfriend had a Belgium beer. Great service, I would definitely visit again if I am in Brussels. A favourite.
