I fly airplanes, and visited the Royal Belgian Army Museum for its extensive aircraft collection, particularly civilian aircraft. The Army Museum has a DeHavilland Canada DHC-3 Otter that Belgium used for its Antarctic expedition, and a corner commemorating the now-gone Sabena airlines, Belgium's former flag carrier. This is an excellent collection of all things military. My sons loved looking round this exhibition - the collection of tanks was amazing. There is a small cafe/bar which serves simple and relatively inexpensive food. The only downside is that it closes for lunch (on a Saturday which was a bit surprising). Another negative was the grumpy man on reception... more
