I don't know why people are complaining about this market, after all it is a "flea market" so of course it's full of junk. I found it great fun to browse through and haggle for clothes, jewelry, household goods and general junk. There was even a stall selling second-hand false teeth! The atmosphere was great, with buskers and cafes around... More

Without exception the stalls (mostly blankets on the ground) consisted of absolute rubbish. A lot of the ground was littered with broken glass and broken items. Most of the "stuff" would look quite at home on a skip. I don't know where the other reviewers saw their great bargains - maybe there is another Brussels I haven't yet discovered!!

Nearly all house clearance junk or manufactured 'antiques'. A total waste of time. Any boot sale in the Sussex/Kent area would be up market by comparison.

Takea stroll and your time to explore the antique and curio shops on the way to the square. then when you arrive enjoy the bartering/ haggling for there is everything there from small items to enough to furnish your home ! Just remember that airlines have weight restrictions and be guided by that fact . Cafes, food and street entertainment... More

Enjoyed this very much, it was a bit of everything. Be prepared to haggle, be prepared for them to come after you if you say no. But it is a magical step back in time from early 1900's up to the 60's and 70's, I would gladly go back to Brussels just for this. Just take time to look round... More

A great experience. ..and a wealth of bargains on vintage clothes, antiques and other household items although you need to arrive early to get the best stuff. Very eclectic and some stalls will bargain more than others - but don't be afraid to walk away if you feel they are taking the piss because you are a tourist! I loved... More

Just not worth the effort to visit. If like most visitors to Brussels you will probably be staying in central Brussels, so will have to travel to reach this square. The roads leading up to this square are nice to explore, with lots of Antique shops, Interior Design shops and general Nick-Knack shops, but the square itself has nothing of... More

I have been visiting here for at least 10 years, and the place has gone down hill in the last few. I still enjoy stopping by and walking through, but it is now mainly boxes of junk and used household goods and old clothes. You have to be patient to find any "hidden treasures" and you will want to wash... More

This is not a place for children, it is crowded, full of people from seemingly all around the world. You have to dig very patiently to find anything of real value, most of the stuff is worthless at best. If you do not know your stuff, I reckon you will get ripped off. And I wouldn't flash money very publicly,... More
