Nice if you are a big fan of flea markets

The market of mostly junk, but if you are looking for something special, and have the time and patience to look, you might find something great.

I went here with my husband and I loved it (could have stayed for up to an hour) and my husband hated it and couldn't get out of there fast enough. It is great to see a small community, off the beaten track of central Brussels. The vendors literally open the back of a truck and pour out their junk.... More

Jeu de Balle was a great place for "treasure /antique hunting " for many years; one of my favorite spots when visiting Brussels , which I do often. While rummaging through treasures this summer, I observed behavior which raised "red flags" as to safety. With sadness I personally chose to stay away from an area that was once a must visit... More

i always find that markets provide a true reflection of the the people of a city so like it or hate it this is a great perspective on brussels. I always find a bargain - art deco/noveau lights are plentiful. TIP if you can carry it any picture in a frame and the frame is cheaper than you can buy... More

Pretty busy atmosphere but most of it was junk just sprawled on the ground. If shown a photo I would assume people were climbing through a rubbish dump.

This daily market is an institution in the MAROLLES QUATER , if your interested in digging for bargain through heap's of bric a brac mostly thrown on the floor then this square is for you. We were here to visit the wonderful beer bar LA BROCANTE ,and it was fun sitting outside watching the hordes of people haggleing for that... More

I can clarify that getting there via the trains and asking locals directions - really you are putting your faith in people who don't really care if you get to your destination or not! Having said that once found - the market is amazing. Yes, there is broken glass in between the cobble stones, and yes, it looks like a... More

It was a real flea market as opposed to vendors selling a lot of cheap new stuff. I enjoyed it, there was quite a variety.

This market was selling everything; there was food and toys and clothing and heaps of junk but in amongst the ‘junk’ there were real gems, well worth the digging around. If you’re interested in art nouveau then this is the place for you. I’ve never seen so much cast, gilt and brasswork just crying out to be rescued. There have... More
