I have been going to this market for over 20yrs now and can’t wait to get back; I have had some of the best buys in 30yrs of antique dealing, and have been to markets across Europe. This is one of the best. Go during the week as the weekend is busier and sellers less willing to have a deal.... More

Having been to this flea market on 4/15/2012 our opinion is if you are a traveler to Brussels do not bother-the items are mostly junk, and you would be better off seeing a major attraction or museum instead. If I lived in Brussels, maybe i would go to the flea market, only if it was about a 10 or 15... More

Dirty, neglected, not even a good stuff for sale, and it seemed to us a dangerous neighborhood. More

We mis-timed our visit and arrived just as people were packing up. However, this seemed to make our visit more memorable. We wandered around what few stalls were still in the process of packing up, commenting on the mess that was being left on the ground, and then sat down for a drink. At this point we noticed some stall-holders... More

It's best to skip this outdoor market. The area is a little shady and the vendors sell junk stuff from the 70's and 80s. Antique collectors may hit the jackpot here but others beware. More

I'm a frequent traveller to Brussels and have visited this market about 10 times in the past 6 months. I've found that about half of the vendors are locals - pleasant and easy to deal with. Prices are fair and quality is mixed. However there is a significant group of vendors that I avoid - they speak no English and... More

If you are into quirky antiques or garage sale hunting, you should definitely check out the antique market at Jeu de Balle. I lived near here for six months while studying in Brussels, and went to the flea market several times. I would suggest going early rather than when they are packing up, and don't be afraid to haggle! Most... More

This was quite interesting (I went there in march perhaps it is different in the summer). This market is situated on a square (with lovely cafés surrounding it. You can buy lovely works of art or shoes that have holes in the bottom and no laces. So quite a lot of things to look at. I´d say it´s worth a... More
