We didn't catch a show, but stumbled upon this backstreet bar on our first night in Brussels. A great little find with good beer and wonderful atmosphere. Definitely somewhere you don't forget!

Didn't catch a puppet show but we really enjoyed the bar and the beer in the kwaks; great tasting beer served in a novel way. Pleasant relaxed atmosphere and very helpful staff. They only had cheese cubes and crisps to eat but that was quite tasty. This bar was recommended by friends who had lived in Brussels for some time... More

You''ll never be anywhere like Toone. This unique hole-in-the-wall of Brussels is guaranteed to make you feel like you stepped into a whole other world… especially if you make it for a puppet show.

Lovely little pub with a great history (apparently 8 generations of their family have run this pub & the mayor has to crown a new head puppeteer). The staff are friendly, as is their resident cat. Apparently this place used to have two cats and a chicken roaming round. Be aware that the bar snacks are VERY basic - cheese... More

Went i the square to buy something and took notice that I am in front of the Brussels Opera House. Took some amazing photos and left with a good impression of the place.

I love this place, and every time I'm in Brussels I drop in for a few beers. I particularly recommend the Kwak. Bit difficult to find on your first visit, but just ask one of the waiters in the nearby restaurants, they all know it.

this was real fun. A great experience. Very different. the history of the theatre is very unique. I don`t think that there are too many theatre like this that still exist.

Really good pub especially if you are a beer aficionado like me and as its a real puppet theatre the puppets and the décor inside makes it a unique place to visit. I recommend the Kwak or a speciality fruit beer. It is good value for money and as its hidden down an alleyway it doesn't get overrun by tourists,... More

It used to be a marionette theatre , great outside terrace and very friendly staff. If you are in Brussels near the Grand Place and you are searching for a great calm and authentic pub, far from all the tourists ,then it is the place to go to.
