This is a really nice cafe and at the same time is a marionette theater. First of all, it is never crowded which is probably because of its location down an alley just acros the street from the Grand Place. This is a good thing because its a nice quiet place to hide away when the tourism season is in... More

We saw The Three Musketeers at the Toone theatre and loved it. Tickets were 12 Euros but well worth it. The performance was funny and a great way to spend an evening in Brussels. Very much recommended.

Every time I come to Brussels I always have to visit Toone's, the decor inside is quite unique with the puppets, but I must admit that I prefer the outdoor seating area as it's so pleasant in the summer with all the greenery. It's almost hidden away in the middle of a busy city centre. Just make sure you get... More

The nicest thing about this place, besides the atmosphere, is that they serve beers often not found in bars in Brussels anymore - alway in the correct glass, of course! I go for the Affligem, highly recommended (although not in summer - too heavy).

I didn't like it very much, a bit dull and old fashion. In my view a waste of time. But if you in for folklore, you should go

Really interesting place, and pretty good value also. The puppets and the decor inside makes it a unique place to visit, and it never seems to be overly busy or full of tourists like delirium etc... The outdoor seating area is pleasant especially in the summer, and they have a couple of really chilled out cats which give off a... More

This might have been the best thing we did in brussels. Before the show we had a kwak beer feom the bar downstairs before heading up to watch the show. It was amazing and even though it was in french it was easy to follow. It was a little hot since theres no air conditioning in europe and this show... More

In June 2013 our Tour Group went to The Royal Toone Theatre and indeed it is a Hidden Treasure in Brussels. Toone 7 gave the history in which he mentioned that this started as entertainment for the run of the mill people after work for 30 minutes weekday evenings. The acts had some element of social comment at that time.... More

Even when all the show is in French (actually you can understand the story just watching), it just beautiful to be there enjoying the hole thing. The place is great, the show is awesome, people are nice, beers are delicious, etc, etc... a must do!

I kept waiting for the show to start. There was a band that was warming up for like two hours. Maybe three. I sort of lost track of time. The reason is because it was actually nice to just sit down and chat with friends for a while. They had a pretty decent beer selection from what I could tell.... More
