The church definitely has signs of wear and tear that are visible from the outside. Despite this, I still found it to be impressive. I've seen several old cathedrals in France and Switzerland and they never cease to amaze. Just the thought of building such a massive structure with no modern tools....that alone gives them a beauty I their own... More

Located in the center of a neighborhood square, the pretty church is surrounded by restaurants. The church is in need of a little care with cleaning the exterior but that does not take away from the beauty of the inside.

Location adds much to this church on Place St Catherine, as it crowns the square elegantly with its facade. Inside is less interesting, yet can worth the visit if in the area.

Out of many churches in Brussels I visited, I like Saint Catherine, because it is big, and spacious, and has breathing room, not too much golden stuff inside, but walls need retouching... They were playing nice chorals, and it was warm- ish inside.. And when you come out, on a Saturday morning, then you are looking straight at a fruit... More

St Catherine’s church had a projection of videos on the facade, like Tinkerbell, during Winter Pret, and this was great to watch. The inside of the church is a fairly typical European church.

I have been here a few times before but this was the first time I had seen the christmas light show they do in the evenings. It was nice enough to watch, it was nowhere near as lovely as the Grand Place light show but it was a lot less crowded which was a relief. The church from the front... More

This catholic church had been closed for years and reopened in September 2014. It is a simple, sober church which had been abandoned and is now being renovated. The outer façade is actually really beautiful. Once inside, you will see that the walls and ceiling require renovation, and there are almost no decorative objects, only the strict minimum. I find...
