I visited all the chocolate shops I could find in the Grand-Place / city center area of Brussels. I checked chocolate pricing and did sample tastings. I am quite familiar with Belgian chocolate "name brands," which were featured in many touristy shops. When I came upon Mary Chocolatier, I knew I had found the unique gem I hoped to find... More

I sampled chocolate from 5 different vendors because I knew I'd be bringing home gifts and wanted the best. The truth is, they were all good but I had Mary at #3. It was also the most expensive. For whatever it's worth I think Leonidas was #1 overall.

Best handmade chocolate I have ever had. And the Earl Grey one is a must-try.

Chocolate shops everywhere around here, but a few stand out above the rest. Mary's chocolate shop was an experience just to be in. The smells and appearance made me want to sample so much. I only tried a couple and I am not a chocoholic, but they were very good to me. Plan to bring some back for your friends... More

Firstly, the whole area is full of chocolatiers , someone recommended Mary's. They lived upto it. The chocolates are to die for. The smell , the visual impact is awesome. They offer some of the finest chocolates we have had over the years. We tried few, bought few boxes.

As soon as you walk into the shop you get a massive chocolate smell, the staff were welcoming and didn't harass at all which was a massive bonus compared to other stores we had visited. The chocolates were of top quality!!

We have all heard about the famous Belgian chocolates. Mary's does not disappoint. The choices are only out done by the rich smell and delicious taste.

When every other shop in Brussels appears to be a chocolate shop, it's difficult to know which ones offer quality and those which are aimed at foolish tourists. Mary is most definitely the former. Located in the beautiful Galerie Royales Saint-Hubert, a short walk from Grand-Place, Mary offers some of the very best chocolate in Brussels and all of Belgium.... More

we tried them all and this was the best one. Chocolate anywhere in brussels is amazing but this place had a great atmosphere, very friendly service, great variety of flavors. Well done.

We really had fun choosing the wide array on offer. It forced out the child in me (men are pretty much still boys at heart!) Words don't do justice. Let your senses take charge. We got the pralines by weight naturally. Marcolini is more pricey and modern. But I really like the overall interior ambience, it's packaging which is consistent... More
