Parc & Art

Small parc (adjacent the larger 'Nachtegale' parc), displaying various modern sculptures. Nice brasserie next door

Modern art, and not my thing. Pretty much useless in my opinion. A playground for kids would have been a better choice.

Great variety of art and installations in a pleasant park. The reward is well worth the effort of travel. From Rodin to Henry Moore to Chris Burden and Ai Weiwei with much inbetween like The Mad Maidenby Rik Wouters. And entrance is free.

Love this place! Excellent artwork. Great walks. Especially like the 'graveyard for wounded sculptures' I imagine them striking up a conversation with each other! Captures my imagination. A must visit!

Tip: they are closed on Mondays!!! The gates are locked and you will not be able to enter! Beautiful park with an outdoor museum filled with sculptures. Highly recommend you walk through it if you have the time.

To get to Middleheim we took the number 6 tram to Olympiade, and then walked for about 20 minutes through pleasant residential suburbs. We were expecting to see the 58 statues and sculptures listed on the website www.middleheimmuseum.be, but were delighted to find many more. To appreciate all of the works you need a few hours. There is a café... More

Forget the diamonds. This forest sculpture garden alone is worth the trip to Antwerp. Everywhere one looks, there's an exciting work of art - Calder, Arp, Zadkine, Rodin, Moore, Manzu, Laurens, et al. Unlike a museum environment, these pieces are alive here. One is free to touch, to photograph, or just linger in the energy they provoke/invoke. It's a true... More
